I originally started feeding my baby SMA formula, but he was sick almost daily, I wasn't sure why but thought I'd try a different brand to see if it helped, so switched to Cow and Gate and in almost a week he was only sick once, but instead he seems to get diarreah from it, its not really bad, but there was a noticeable difference. So now I'm thinking maybe I should switch again, only other formula I can think of is Aptimil, what are peoples opinions on Aptimil? Or can anyone recommend a different formula?

My hubby thinks that its pointless switching that he will probably not get on any better with a different formula, but I at least want to try.

Just a shame I couldn't breastfeed, but I dont produce enough milk!

Aptimil is the closest to breastmilk I believe, and I have read good reviews on it.

I combi feed, and tried SMA with Amber, she too sicked it all up, yet my first girl was fine on it!!...Amber now has Aptimil before bed instead of booby and she is fine with it.

Hipp Organic is another good milk I believe.

My LO was on Aptimil at first, then C&G for a while, then back to Aptimil again before we stopped formula at a year. Out of all the ones she was on (including the comfort milk) I think I liked Aptimil the best, which is why we came back to it after C&G started disagreeing with her.

Apparently Hipp is quite good, and I think they have changed the formula slightly since I tried it. Which could only be a good thing, as I HATED it. The packaging was annoying and difficult to work with, the milk smelled awful, and it clumped like nothing on earth. I was using Dr Browns bottles at the time, and the powder would cling to the central stem in massive clumps, like cottage cheese  The bottles then felt as though they were covered in grease too, washing them was an utter nightmare.

So yah, might be worth a try of Aptimil and see how you get on :)

thank you, i think i will try aptimil then, hopefully he will get on ok with it.
