Which part are you most scared of?

I just wish we could be like "bewitched" and wiggle our noses and our babies be out...skip all the terrible parts!

As far as what I'm afraid of....not getting to the hospital in time to have pain control...they say your labor and delivery will be similar to your moms and if thats the case I may be screwed! She didnt know she was in labor both times and only had enough time to be in the hospital, get to the L&D and push!! She had a 6 hr labor and a 4 hr labor and didnt know it...so my OB has already told me if I'm like my mom to camp at the hospital when I hit 3 cms.

i really dont want a long labour as i have to get home to my other kids and the dogs.so hopefully no longer than 6 hrs
xx

i wouldnt say i was scared of any of it i least like the pushing stage because it can be difficult and was pushing for 2 hours with my last as she was slightly side ways lol and i dont like the after pain i get. and i alittle worried that this lo wont turn in time as he is back to back at the mo. x

i wasnt scared untill i saw the MW today and she said he is back to back......

just googled it...bad idea!

Im scared about having trouble pushing the baby out and having to have an emergency c section or even worse....an episiotomy...

my mum cant remember this 'ring of fire' feeling with any of her labours, does everyone have it ... and why is it so bad? lol i think im more concerned about not knowing how to push xx

I cant remember this either, and by the time I was pushing, my pain relief had worn off. All I can remember is the pain of the contractions once my waters had been broken by the MW.

I'm terrified of the whole lot because I am a massive wimp haha xx

hi the pushing part i found not a problem on my 1st u just push down in your bum really hard it only took me 19mins and she was out thankgod all 10 and half hours in labour and 19 mins 2 get her out haha x

my 4th son was back to back and for my 4th child i was still in labour for 17hrs.It wasnt so much the pain it was just tireing and slow progressing.I think for it to come thru the birth canal it has to be the right way or something so not sure it has to shift into a position as your labouring.Would be interesting to know as i still dont know why there longer
xx

I'm most scared of having to get forceps

im scared about tearing or being cut and bleeding lots.... and about if i have to have an epidural or c-section as both of these things scare me to death...

I just want her to come out and us both be healthy and safe.

Just decided my worst fear would be to end up getting an emergency section.

That above anything else scares me the most x

ok what the hell is the burning ring of fire????????? Being totally serious ive got Johnny Cash on my hubbys ipod for during labour!!!!!! im a HUGE johnny cash fan but what hte hell is this????? lmao ive never ever heard of this before!!!

I'm hoping to give birth solely on gas & air and using a water birth(hopefully) as pain relief..im a bit of a control freak n the thought of an epidural terrifies me! Me 2 biggest fears are needing to have a c-section and not getting skin to skin asap...and now the ring of fire lol x

i think its when its head is first coming out, im not sure as this is my first, but its a guess...

kate that bit bout holding him for the first time :)
was sooooooooo sweet!! i hate reading things that are nice at the min.. jus get all upset lol

xx

i'm worried about going to the hospital too early & being sent home, feeling like a naughty school girl!
i've not actually got myself worried about the whole labour thing yet, thankfully.
xx

Gals if you're scared about the ring of fire, get an epidural
