I never used one with my daughter but hubby goes back to work next week and all my little boy wants is to be held so I want to get a sling so I can get things done but I have no ideas which are good or bad so any advice is more than welcome! I'm in the UK btw. Thanks in advance! Xx

I really like my k'tan wrap.. I got it so I could use it at home, although haven't used it at home much yet. I also like my Ergo for when I am out and about, but with the infant insert, it can get hot if it is warm outside.

My DS was like this and I used a Moby, it was brilliant. I passed it on to someone else and I now have a cheaper version from ebay made by Liberty slings which I find to be just as good, although I wouldn't like to say whether it will last as long as my DD is still quite light.

Stretchy wrap like a Moby or equivalent or a close caboo. I used the stretchy when ds2 was very little and used the close caboo from 3 months onwards. I now use a lenny lamb ssc and a ring sling.

I have a cot2tot stretchy wrap, also heard good things about Victoria sling lady wraps on eBay. I like the stretchy wraps because you tie them on in the morning and then just pop baby in and out all day as required.

I use a moby at home and ergo while out. Sometimes I use the moby while out because, like a pp said, the infant insert can get hot.
I'm thinking about getting a k'tan because it's less admin to put on.

I also used a Liberty wrap when DD was small...she got too big for it around 5 months or so (but she's a big baby!). It was a lifesaver. I now use a Connecta and I love it so much. I'll use both right from the beginning with #2, whenever that happens.

I know you asked for sling but I never found them comfortable, I always felt as if I was going to drop bub as she never stays still. I brought a mini monkey carrier and absolutely love it. So easy to put on, comfortable on my shoulders and back (I have a bad back) and is perfect from newborn to 3 years. The second I put Charlotte in it she falls asleep and stays asleep and the pocket on the front is great for pacifiers etc.

I have recently started using a sling and found www.snugiwraps.co.uk
I love it. Easy to use once you get the hang of how to tie it. Once it's on easy to pop baby in and out as necessary without the need to tighten or retie. I was wearing mine from 12ish through to 7pm today without any need to adjust the tie once on. Plus it's only £25! Perfect for when I wasn't sure if I'd get on with baby wearing (but have decided I love it!!!)

I used a stretchy wrap until 4 months then tried a woven but couldn't get on with it so tried a Connecta which I loved, I now use a woven and a ring sling, absolutely love my ring sling! :)

We love love love the Ergo Baby. We had the Original Carrier but LO loves to face outwards so we invested in the Ergo Baby 360 and it's even better!!

I have tried a few but the best is the ergo, i wish i had just bought it from the start and not bothered with the others! I think the sling libraries are good if you have one near you, then you can try out different ones and see what suits you and lo best.

I used a moby for the first 6 months then moved on to a connecta which I love. Wish I'd moved on to that sooner. Having a carrier for the baby with an older child makes life a lot easier.
