Hey girls, thought Id pop in and see how you all are. I eventually went 15 days overdue, and finally baby made an appearance! So hang on in there and your babies will come out I swear! Good luck and stay positive!!! xxx

Yeah I was induced in the end. I ended up having a c section as well but I dont even care to be honest...just cant believe it took her so long to come out! And only 6lb 12.5oz. Just proves that however far your overdue...doesnt mean your going to have a beast of a baby lol.

deli, after my sweep last week MW couldn't find HB... I think she was more worried than I was though! I'm sure your LO will be fine in labour, it's a natural process after all, not artificiall with someone's hand up your ho--haa poking their head!

Mel, you must just be so pleased to be a mummy now!! Hopefully a few more of us will be joiniing you soon - hayzeb and wannabemamma I think are on their way!

Well I'm 3 days overdue now and apart from the odd period-like pain, I've had no signs whatsoever. Maybe i'll be one of those lucky ones where labour comes on suddenly without warning and baby arrives half hour later Being my first, I don't hold out much hope though....

I've refused a sweep and I really don't want to be induced so am hoping he gets his act together shortly. Not that i'm in any hurry to be in pain lol.

Day 4 Overdue

Have to go into the hospital today for a non-stress test...hopefully it goes well, I think my baby is still happy in there, I get lots of movements!

what's a non stress test?


Emma, mine would be evening this time too, differnt hospital than charlotte was born at...

Orchid, can I ask, when you've been for your monitoring etc have they been attempting sweeps each time?

A non-stress test: I went to the hospital and they put me on a fetal heart monitor and a contraction monitor and they give me a clicker to click everytime I feel a movement. I was monitored for about 20 min to half an hour and they take a print out of everything and give it to my doctor. Basically they want to make sure the baby isn't stressed in there....she wasn't

Day 1 overdue!!!!!! I'll find out what my doctor says today. At least I already know when I'll be induced.

Hi every1 went to the midwife today and got an induction booked for sunday at 11.45 so excited wish me luck.

Didnt get offered a sweep though as the head not quite there yet. She wrote that i am 4/5ths palpable but i am not sure what that means? xx

From my understanding, I believe it means that you are 2/5 engaged. The head is pretty close to being fully engaged.

I thought that meant you would be 1/5th engaged which isn't much but it doesn't matter, they can just 'go' all of a sudden.

Welcome all new ladies and soon to be overdue ladies

After a very tired and teary day i am now feeling much better about all of this and even calm dare i say it. I have been to visit my baby nephew who is gorgeous and it reminded my we are all doing this! Not long to go now ladies.

Hope the sweeps work their magic for those who had them today!

Congrats to Moggy Doesn't sound like 8 days will win it though! Who's got the record right now....didn't someone have 15 days??? It doesn't look like I'll win it since my doctor will induce before two weeks overdue. Oh well!

10lb 2oz born Monday at 21.50 he is perfect and we got home yesterday afternoon. Good luck to all you ladies as we had no clue I just bent down to the floor in the kitchen and pop my waters went, followed by a show moments later and more waters over the next half hour or so, got to the hospital and first contraction in the car park! Big boy but just G&A, shoulder dispraxia was slight issue due to size but fab MW had him out and good to go in no time!

Yay moglet!! Maybe I need to be cleaning the kitchen floor more!! I suippose that's a pretty good place for waters to go - easier to clean than on carpet!? Congrats again Moggy!
