who can go MOST overdue?!

Hi guys! :hi:

Posted a thread to see if anyone else is as overdue as me. No replies, so thought I'd try here, hehe.

I'm 42 weeks tomorrow! She's healthy, and there's no medical need to induce, but seriously, when is she coming already? :pop:

Just saw your other thread... have you got a date for induction or are you going to wait it out? [/QUOTE=orchid83;6422835]

*I'm going to wait it out, although I'm in for monitoring at the hospital every two days, so if anything goes pear shaped I'll induce for sure.

Starting to think I'll be birthing a toddler!*

Starbucket and Orchid83 welcome xx

I have a date for 14 days, MW says to keep it, but I plan to call them about day 11/12 to discuss waiting... right now I feel fine about that, not sure how I'll feel in a week's time though!

YAY NG09!!! Good luck!!!

Last night I got two really strong contractions around 6pm which were about ten minutes apart, but then nothing :( i think they did something though because when I got up to go pee (for the 100th time last night) I lost a LOT of my plug!!! I know that could mean dick-all but I felt like my body was at least attempting to do something...

Yay NG09!!! Good luck with your labour and delivery!!!

Orchid - I suppose I could refuse being induced, but here it means a transfer of care from mw to ob and the doctors aren't very willing for that to happen. Well, unless you go into labour too, looks like you'll pass me on the most overdue title lol.

Hi to all the new ladies, hope you don't have to wait much longer.
I'm so excited for you NG09 - have posted on your thread.
Kmac - good luck iwth the induction, do come back and let us know how you get on. Nowt for me today, no signs at all, just getting increasingly uncomfortable. Still hoping i can go naturally in the next 3 days before i get induced on thursday evening. fingers crossed. Feel like i'm being left behind, everyone i know is having their baby before me :-(
xx

I'm due to start being induced on Thurs as well Emma, will keep fingers crossed for both of us! Sweep 2 tomorrow morning to see if anything has changed/happens.

Hi, hope I can join too!

Due date (according to scan) of 4th August but absolutely *nothing* is happening.

I haven't had any braxton hicks (or not that I'm aware of) and having been 1/5th engaged for the last 8 weeks or so the baby has now moved UP and the head was free again at my midwife appointment on the 5th.

Have another MW appointment this Thursday and they've suggested a provisional induction date of 16th August (which we'll discuss then). Am hoping something will have at least started to happen before then as I really don't want a medical induction if I can avoid it.

evening all :)

well in a bid to be positive, I think maybe baby is engaging... bear with me here... Last week at MW she said that because baby was completely unengaged that was why he/she was flipping side to side depending which side I'm lying on...
eg lying on my right shoulders would go right and bum would go left... (less comfortable...)
lying on my left shoulders would go left and bum to the right (somewhat more comfortable...)

So yeah basically since head was free there was nothing to impede body from flipping side to side.

ANYWAY since last night I noticed that even after lying on my right hand side for long periods, shoulders still left and bum still right! Could this possibly mean that we're now at least partially engaged?! Or is that pure speculation and wishful thinking?

not sure Lucy  Moglet been engaged for a while now and he seems to headspin almost to get himslef comfy, sometimes left sometimes right, only difference is on occasion he has gone back2back though last week he was right way around....MW tomorrow so guess she willupdate then - shame mine went to Zante on thursday :dohh:

As I'm now officially one day overdue, I guess I can join the thread now lol

I'm hoping to go into labour naturally as I really don't want to be induced. I kinda thought that little one may show up next week anyway by my dates so fingers crossed. I don't mind sticking it out as long as little one is healthy. He is still really active and hasn't engaged at all so maybe he's too comfy in there :haha:

If you make it to 15 I think you're winning!!

oh orchid - you are managing so well i have to say! I'm feeling very left behind by everyone starting to go into labour! Lets hope for another flurry of labours starting soon. xx

morning all.
well i'm a bit of a misery guts today soi'll keep it brief. sat and sun i was a happy overdue bunny, today i'm feeling a failure that my body can't do it. yesterday i was up for bouncing on the ball, walking :sex: to encourage things, but today i just can't see the point as nothing seems to help.
I don't think the change of weather from sunshine to showers has helped either, plus DH at work again, but off to meet friends at the playpark (in the drizzle) this morning so hopefully will haul myself back up again soon!

:hugs: Lucy - focus on that cuddle with C and baby, any thoughts on baby/c exchange gifts? Mogster has teddy for baby and has some planes from baby. Friend of ours who had baby on Sat did VSmile in pink for her little girl and a teddy for baby. Not long now and it will pay dividends having such a hospitable body as baby will sleep longer sooner as he/she is big enough to eat a little more than a 6lber, with mogster he ate every 2-3 hours at first, MW leads me to believe that 8lb+ means 3-4 hours and 9lb+ at least 4 hourly and longer at night....
