Who opens LO's presents?

It popped into my head today... LO is only 5 months and... who opens her presents???

OH says I do but... I bought/wrapped most of them so that doesn't really make sense to me... how do you do it?

me and my oh opened rhys' last year and the year before. but this year he is old enough to open his own, and he will probably open ffions too

what we try to do is sit with maddi and get her to rip the paper and stuff, takes a while! he he! i suppose we're just all do it together x

I will sit my LO down...il rip and bit and then he can enjoy ripping the rest...no doubt that he will like the wrapping present more then the toys!! xx

Kayleigh opened Charlie's the first Xmas, but he managed them last year himself.

I'm looking forward to this year as he'll understand it more, and be interested in the present rather than the wrapping!

Well, I would usually hold baby on lap @ 5 months and make a huge tear and let him/her grab at paper and we pull together and what a big surprise! Not really, imagine they were clueless about what was going on, but made cute photos!

Carly has always opened her presents lol , from the age of 1 + she had though not baby

I would just switch LO every couple of presents over with OH . So you both get to open them

Thanks for all the imput. I talked to OH and I think that I will open the ones that I didn't buy/wrap and I will make him open those that I did buy. That way we both get some of the surprise. I am probably going to try ripping a bit part of a couple just to see if we can get some cute pics too

I gave Amelia a magazine the other day and she started tearing the pages out, so i guess with some help and guidance she could probably do the same with her presents, just might take a while. Her first xmas as the first grandchild, i think we need to buy a new house just for her presents!!

My friend has an 11 month old son, and he keeps going at the presents under the tree, trying to rip them open already .. she keeps telling him how many more sleeps are left, not that he understands, lol.. but I'm sure he's going to rip apart those gifts come Christmas morning & love every minute of it!

He opened my gift to him today, and opened the gift him & his mommy gave my bump today too. LOVES to throw the tissue paper around and crinkle wrapping paper in his hands.
