This is my first baby so all very new to me. My bestfriend is also pregnant, she is 4 months in front of me. She recently found out the sex of her baby, at this time I didn't know I was pg.

I said I don't think I'd want to know and that I thought it would spoil the suprise, but know I'm not too sure. In fact I am dying to know what the sex of the baby is.

Just wondering how you feel about this? x x

I didnt want to know with my first - that said I was convinced from the get go she was a girl. Didnt even have a boys name picked out!!

Both my hubby and I really want a boy this time. Yes we will just be happy with a healthy baby or either gender but if we're being honest we really want a boy. So.......people may find this a controversial thing to admit.....we want to find out now because if its a girl, we will be slightly disappointed - just being honest - so I'd rather be disappointed for like 5 seconds now and then start getting excited about having a girl rather than have that 5 seconds of disappointment at the birth.

Sorry if anyone thinks I'm a total :witch: but thats my reason.

Well thats fair enough to say! Like you say you are only being honest.

Something tells me mine is a girl don't know why, maybe a mothers intuition, I'm not sure.

I would really like to know but I would also like a suprise.

Hiya, i will defo be findin out wot this 1 is, my 1st was lying the wrong way round so he was a surprise, my 2nd i just knew it was another boy and the scan confirmed it, my 3rd i carried completely different to the other 2 and so was convinced it was a girl only to be told at the scan it was another boy, and this 1 well i would love it to be a girl and im thinking pink but il just have to wait an see wot the scan reveals.

I just wanted to know. No reason really. OH really wanted a boy but I wasn't bothered. I think it's a suprise whether it's at the 20 week scan or at the birth.

I definitely want to know.I am all up for surprises, they're great but not for me...At 15 weeks,I can start with shopping:headspin:
But I do feel that it's a girl...

I found out because I like to be prepared ! I am also quite impatient and because I knew we could find out it was too tempting:dohh:

Mother's instinct tells me this baby is a girl :) I will be having the gender confirmed too! Years ago I gave away all my baby stuff, both boy and girl things. If I have to go and buy all over again, I want to know the gender!

I was all geared up for finding out what Grace (DD) was going to be at the 20 week scan...only to discover she had her legs crossed so I did not find out....it was my DH that wanted to find out more than me....
So when she eventually appeared I was so ecstatic!!! My family (inc in-laws) actually had bets on the sex/weight and date.. lol

I had an emergency section with Grace and all I remember is this Australlian Asian surgeon saying 'Catherine...you have a beautiful baby girl'......I will never forget that!!!!

I loved the suprise that much that I am not going to find out what this one is either........

I feel exactly the same as you!

I really want to know, we have feelings that it's a girl and like MM haven't picked a boys name out lol

When she was born, they held her up and checked what she was. The moment they said 'Its a girl' my OH simply replied 'Its Emily'.

I was pretty sure he was a she in the beginning. But once I found out boy, it just felt right (though I had never imagined a boy). No disappointment, though I half expected there might be some.

I am sooo glad I found out, I just love him to bits.

i really want to know what it is but i change my mind all the time

OH and i have decided to find out. We just can't go on not knowing what's growing inside of me :). Also we want to be prepared for our little one. I'm getting a little tired of neutral colors lol. ALSO it'll be nice so everyone at the baby shower will know what i'm having :). :happydance::happydance::happydance: I can't wait just thinking about it!

:headspin::happydance::headspin::happydance:

I'm still not sure if i wanna find out or not yet! i half do and half don't! with my 1st i knew he was a boy but never found out! Only had Joshua picked out i was that sure. But when they said you've got a boy i was kind like... yeah i knew that! so it didn't feel like much of a suprise!
I have a feeling i'm having a lil girl this time and part of me really doesn't wanna be wrong. I feel i'd be dissapointed if i fond out otherwise at the scan but would be happy whatever at the birth!! Who knows i am doing all these silly lil predictor tests!!

I still don't know.

DH wants to find out. He thinks it will be better if we know that way we can decorate and buy accordingly.

I see everyone that's falling pregnant and having babies these days finding out asap. A part of me is itching to find out too. But I really think I'd love being told after the baby's arrived. You know. The old way of doing it :D

As far as my mother's intuition goes.... crap! At first I had a feeling it was a girl. Then I had the scan and from then I was convinced it was a boy.
Now I'm leaning towards a girl again.
According to the Chinese predictor I'm having a girl LOL.

DH's cousin is expecting a girl and she was telling me she was the same. She said her first instincts said girl but then she changed to boy and was so convinced she was having a boy. But the scan proved her first feelings right.

She thinks I'm having a girl. I've got people taking guesses all around too.

Oh geez! I don't know :( I really think I want to wait. I'll see how I feel later on.

i definitely want to know, mainly so i can decide on names, buy colour appropriate clothes, etc.

We want to know as soon as possible. Not that it matters whether it's a boy or a girl, (although DH is leaning towards a boy) but for practical reasons like decorating, clothing etc.

I want to know, OH isnt so sure. I hate waiting for surprises. OH's DD is 19, she wants to know too. Between us we have been putting our 'case' forward.
I want to be able to call 'bean' by his/her name throught the rest of the pregnancy. me nad OH are already calling 'bean' a he,
