whole milk!

Not sure if this is best suited here or in weaning but here goes. Hannah's coming up on a year and after we finish the tubs of formula we have we're going to move her over to whole milk (we still have a few to go so we should hit right around the 1 year mark). Anyways how did you wean onto whole milk? Did you just go straight to the milk or did you do part formula part milk for a while? If so for how long? Also how much whole milk are they meant to have in a day once weaned fully onto it?

We went straight to it, but I know lots of people that did wean them off by doing 3/4formula 1/4milk, then half and half then 1/4formula to 3/4milk. It's really up to you, either way is fine. They shouldn't have more than 16-24oz of whole milk a day

so one more question....
Hannah only has one bottle a day now in the mornings, the rest of her formula is given throughout the day in the sippy cup. Would you drop the bottle completely and just give her a sippy cup of milk in the mornings? Not sure she'd be much bothered about it as she's even gone off this one bottle the last week or so

Yeah I would, the older she gets the more of an opinion she will get lol. So if she is able to drink from a sippy now I'd just get rid of the bottle completely

Same answer as above I planned to go straight but it didn't work and I bought one final tub. If she takes to it GREAT if not then I would too suggest if its 7oz ...5oz formula topped with 2oz milk and gradually one down one up.

Caitlin still had problems so that changed I I had to use the infant milk and she soon went of that too

Milk in what wise? Depends what she like I mean Caitlin never liked her bottles so we use AVENT magic cups ...she may want to drink milk from a bottle if its full milk no mix I would offer both to hand. I did that too.

Think its yours and childs comforts that depend how quick they are not drinking from a bottle personally. Try and error moments again Vickie
