the title pretty much says it all i am very happy to be a lime 2 more weeks till 2nd tri and i cant wait.

1st tri has dragged and all i have had is worry stress and sickness i will be gald to see the back of it x

i had a private scan last week as i could no longer cope with the worry (or the NHS being so slow) the scan was amazing we saw our like cashew nut jumping around before finally chillin out with its arms behind its head and legs up in the air (avatar pic) but now i cant wait for my NHS scan in a fortnight so i can see it again x

Aww i literally just got my scan date thru for sunday and i am now super excited altgo extremely nervous...my DH wouldnt pay for a early scan lol tight ass haha xx

I'm trying to figure out, is that including the uterus too? because there's no way the actual fetus is the size of the fruit right? because everything says that the baby is about 2 inches long at 12 weeks? LOL, I've been wondering that for a while.

I think maybe it means the length of the baby is roughly the same as the length of the fruit? Plums are generally a couple of inches long, I guess? I was wondering about this the other day, too I don't think it can be the whole uterus because they said that at 11 weeks odd it was about as big as a grapefruit. Confusing!!

the fruit is the lenght of the baby your uterus is much much bigger but i do think the lime is misleading as it means the tiny key lime and the plum is the big fat juicy ones but most of the time (at supermarkets) the plums are smaller and the limes are big fat ones hope this helps clear it up x

my stepson was looking as some posts on here and asked if baby lost lots of weight in one week because it goes from a small melon to a banana and was confussed as to why baby would go from being fat and round to a skinny minnie lol bless him i explained it was more lengh that anything he still looked confussed

Im also a lime. Another 2 weeks till 2nd tri and my scan is next Wednesday

Will be nice to hop over to 2nd tri soon but i feel quite at home with the 1st tri section, i like to help people earlier than me with problems ive had previous so im quite settled . Guess ill nip into both sections

i have my scan next monday so will be exactly 12 weeks then the scan in my avatar was a private one we had done last week

I'm officially a lime as of tomorrow too! Its such an exciting feeling! I have an appointment coming up on Wednesday too, and I was told they might do a scan. I can't wait for the worries of the first tri to be over!

I am twelve weeks on Thursday and so excited! I have my scan a week from today and cannot wait as it will be over four weeks since my last one!!! Also excited to be in second tri soon! Wow is the time flying by now!
