I thought this would be a good place to share ideas, pictures and web links to ideas.

I love browsing on www.pinterest.com and www.ravelry.com for ideas and knitting patterns.

I'm currently knitting my first pair of booties and have just ordered lots of wool to knit a patchwork blanket.

What is everyone else making?

Great idea :)

I saw on your other post about booties.

This is areally quick, easy and cute pattern. Perfect for newborsn adn you can make a pair in no time at all :)

This is my first one - but I think I'm going to make a few pairs in different colours.

Thanks for the pattern! They are so cute and do look so easy, I am going to try a pair tonight.

I've (so far) knit a pair of booties, a hat, a blanket, and a cardi.

The blanket and cardi were finished a while ago (before my BFP) so not sure if they count.

I'm starting a pair of mitten tonight but then that's it in terms of clothes till we find out the sex of the baby.

I did find a nice organiser to go on the end of the cot, but not sure just yet. Need to find something as knitting is the one thing taking my mind of morning sickness and I have a 17 hour flight next month so I need something to do!

I'm stuck at home sick.

So have crocheted my lady a little headband.

Hi ladies!
I like to sew and crochet mainly!
I'll be making some bandana bibs for my LO once born and a taggie (made them for my last LO and make for friends).
I've made a Cmas stocking for my LO and have the same fabric in green to make an identical one for the baby :)
At the moment I'm mainly crocheting but everything looks too pretty once finished I think even if in blue. Crochet is so nice for girls!
Despite that I've made a cardigan with toggles, bootie and hat set!
I've made an owl beanie and matching mitts and a plain striped beanie with matching mitts
I've just made a pair of booties that look like converse!

I've made these but they're not nearly as cute in plain or pastel colours - need to think of a good boy combo of bold colours!

I mainly browse youtube for tutorials, so much easier than following a pattern!!!
Can find them and post links if anyone is interested!

I wish I could just link to my fb album as I upload pics of stuff I make - I have lots of 'crafty' friends! My fb settings would prob block it though so I'll upload some seperate ones :)x

EDIT: Not sure the Cmas stocking pic will show as it's a gif...

This is my next project :)

Babee I love the nappies!! You're so clever!!!

Here is the headband pattern for you:

https://momof5daughters.blogspot.co.uk/2010/07/crocheted-headband-hairband-toddler.html?m=1

I read somewhere that size wise:

NB= 12"
0-6= 14"

So I did this one 12.5" ish as that's where the row stopped.

And this is the daisy pattern. Although there are so many flowers out there to crochet I think I'll do different for each headband:

Post a pic when you're done. Xxxx

Thank you Hunnie :)... Im very very new at crochet new as in, I've only learned to do it the other night haha, and I managed to make a couple of flowers lol.. So it may take a while for me to do this lol but will deffo have a go tonight :)

Here's my little crochet flower, I'm planning of sewing this ontop a long sleeved vest top, as Layla is due in April, so it won't be freezing, but im guessing it's not going to be warm lol.. Then summer put some on short sleeved vests :)

Wow! That's great for having only just learnt. :)

If you can do that then you'll be fine with the headband. It's easy peasy. Xx

Ive made one :D hehe this was my second attempt i couldnt get the DC right then realised i was doing it slightly wrong hahaha so ive done it :) no idea if it will fit though...

Yay! Well done!!

Yeah. DC is different in Us and UK so if you can't figure out if a Brit or American has written it then sometimes it takes a bit of figuring out. :)

My big blanket takes ages to see any progress on so it gets a bit tedious so I decided to do a quick granny square blanket in the headband colours.

Done 7 squares so far. Going to get it to 9 and then just go round the edge a few times until its big enough just to pop over her car seat etc in summer.

Oh i like those, i think there abit adventuous for me at the minute lol

Think im going to crochet a blanket, but like in stripes??? if thats at all possible, i like the crochet on the headband its fairly easy to do, but would it be good to do for a big blanket???

or do you know of a good easy pattern to do a nice blanket with?

:)

Do granny squares. Soooo easy.

And knits up so quick.

Honestly it's just groups of 3 DCs. It was the first thing I ever crocheted!

https://crochet.about.com/od/learntocrochet/ss/Crochet_Granny_Square.htm

That should help. It's easier than the flower you did. I promise. :)

And the perfect weight for our spring/summer girlies.

Lots of good ideas in this thread! I've been wanting to learn how to crochet, will need to check out those links you ladies posted, thank you!!

well im about a quarter through crochetting my blanket, ill upload a pic later on so show my progress :) lol

Yay!!! I was hoping you'd given it a go.

I finished mine a few days back. I'll go take a pic now x

This is my Granny Square blanket:

And the other blanket I've been doing for a while. I sort of come back and forth to it as its pretty slow to knit up.

Fab thread poppy!
I love the booties and blankies!
I only know how to knit right now, hoping to wrap up my knotting projects and learn to crochet next month. Here are the projects I want to do next:
