Who's ttc no.2, who's with me? 4 BFP's!

tigerlilly - I'm definitely keeping things much quieter this time around. I have spoken to my Mum about it but that's it. There was a lot of pressure last time as I lost my first baby and had told quite a few people when I got my BFP, so I did feel like I wanted to get pregnant asap (and they all knew I was trying of course). This time I want to be less pressured into falling pregnant immediately and I'm looking forward to surprising people :)

I agree, keeping it hush hush, although my family keeps bugging me when the next is lol...we are keeping it completely hush till hopefully finding out the gender and surprising everyone realllllly good lol

We're keeping it hush-hush too. We look forward to surprising everyone with the news and it would be really cool if we could wait long enough to know the gender too!

Which cycle day are you all on? I'm still having AF and I'm on day 4 so at least 10 days until we can actually start trying!

Im pretty sure the whole world knows we're ttc this month!! Doh! Lol

Last time we didn't tell anyone & it was a complete surprise when we revealed it to family at 10 weeks after an early scan. But everyone at work had worked it out way before I told them as I kept needing a wee & ate like a horse & had issues with any clothes that were right on my tummy from 10 weeks so totally changed my wardrobe too!

Everyone knows I want a 2 year age group & am keen on September/October babies so it's sure to be obvious- they'll be looking for it! At the moment we're telling people we've got our hands full with DS1 & we'll see what happens, but all my friends know my plans even though I haven't mentioned it for ages & only ever vaguely! Lol

We're away for a few days for our anniversary & left DS with granny (woo hoo!) lol so been 'practicing' but too early to try properly really- will try in earnest next week a I think I ovulate next Saturday ish.

It's very exciting- can't wait to fall pg so I can go shopping again! Lol was in newlook maternity section & there were some lovely dresses in the sale but DH said I'd curse us if I bought anything too early! :/ obviously I don't NEED anything as I have stuff from DS... But...

What is everyone looking forward to this time round?

we are really hoping that too. But they say you show quicker with your second.

I'm on CD 19 pos opk on 17 and 18 and dtd from CD16.

Ooh so 2ww! I'm envious, I hate this part of TTC, the endless waiting before BD!

Evening all,

We're TTC #2 as well. We'd hoped to start around Sept/Oct time but due to another DVT and now being on warfarin my Doctor said I had to see an obstetric consultant first :-/

We're trying to take a relaxed approach and have just been using Pink Pad on my phone, I was meant to have O'd over Xmas but we didn't BD anywhere near enough.

We're still trying to get our sex life "back to normal" as it is and I don't want to out too much pressure on either of us as BE'ing should be fun really!

I'll test when AF is due (as you can't be on warfarin past 6 weeks PG), and I'll track my cycle more thoroughly but that's it.

How exciting! Our DS started properly walking today and it's so adorable, he's grown and changed so much and made us so proud that I can't wait to add to our family

Hi Stacey_Ann - looks like our LOs are roughly the same age. It's so lovely seeing them grow into little toddlers! I am also excited to give DD a sibling to play with and add to our family. Wishing you all the best and lots of baby dust!

*Waves* Hi I think I am taking the plunge for number two. Terrified but excited. DS is awesome, such a good baby boy.:baby: I'd love a sibling for him

we had another opk today just a tiniest fraction lighter today so i'm still counting it  lo woke up as we were getting started, but went back to sleep after a quick check on him:thumbup: so dtd the day before first pos and everynight of the 3 pos. I'm gonna do a opk tomorrow to see how the line is but will hopefully bd again in the next few days! plus my temp hasn't gone up.

I'm right there with you. I'm CD 15, o'd on CD 14 and BD on CD 13 and 14. So here's to the dreaded 2WW.

I'll start testing around 6DPO due to my history of 3 miscarriages, I have to see the dr for blood work ASAP after a positive pregnancy test.

How old is your DS?

It is terrifying too isn't it? We had planned this since DS was born (16 months ago!) but when it came round to it I was scared at first! I'm totally broody & excited now though!

With the first I had been ready for years so never experienced any doubt, this time I'm worried about how hard it will be with two... Fun, but hard no doubt!

I totally agree on the being terrified! We have also had this planned for a long time but now it's actually real I swing between fear and excitement. I think it's because this time around I know how much work it takes to look after a baby (even a really great one). I was very naive before I had my daughter. I do wonder how I will cope with two but I figure that no matter when it happens, it will be hard to start with so we may as well jump in now! I am very very broody and have been for months, so it is time :)
