Who's used Clomid???

Hubby and I have been ttc for 7 months now, so was just wondering for anyone that used clomid.... How long were you ttc before you started clomid? Was it effective? How long using clomid before you conceived??? Also how were your side effects?

I'm considering trying it if I don't get my BFP by December

Hi i conceived my ds on clomid. 12th cycle though & only thing i did differently was use preseed & take epo to help with cm as clomid dries it up. Last year i conceived first cycle off bc pill but mc & now i'm also onto 7th cycle ttc again this cycle i have started vitex after reading up on it supposed to work as a alternative to clomid as its herbal & have read lots of success stories on here too about it. Maybe try vitex till december good luck hun i will try update if i have any luck with it

Hi there..... I have been trying to conceive for 3years now. I started clomid in December but to no avail.
It didn't work for me, I didn't even ovulate whilst on it.
Everybody reacts differently to it so that's not to say it won't work for you

Mom2sam.....I have just been reading about vitex too, how are you finding it? And did you find preseed really helps?
My consultant has suggested ovarian drilling for me? But I'm abit reluctant and will try anything else.xx

I wouldn't try without preseed lol i love it both times i used it i conceived those cycles. This time i think aftr mc my cycles are messed up but am still using preseed. It's my first month trying vitex. I'm taking it to help give me a stronger ovulation & hopefully bring it on time as last cycle it was later & have been having midcy le spotting or few days before af so hopefully it just regulates all hormones. It's been ok so far i'm taking the pill form 1000mg a day one pill but says you can take upto 2 pills on packet. If i get my bfp soon i'l update but have read alot of success stories with it
