Why the heck is this so dark?!

I know this is not quite positive but I'm confused as to why it is so dark.

I had a tubal reversal three weeks ago. AF was due today and is a no show but early
Ier, for about an hour, I felt like I was having O pains but it turned out to just beneeding to have a BM and it went away.

Anyway, I peed on an OPK anyway and it came back looking like this. I know I'm not pregnant as i haven't even had sex in a few months. Do OPKs get this dark the day AF is supposed to show?

They can be- Ive had it happen to me on a few cycles where they were not quite pos but def dark within like 2 days of AF.
