My hours at work dropped from 20 to 8 when iw ent back to work from may leave.

I've told the, about the drop in income, which was on my award letter but they still have that I'm doing 20 hours when I'm not.

Do I need to tell them.. X

I would tell them. They had me down as working after a year of giving up even though i had told them ;dohh: I wouldnt give them the opportunity to mess up!

Just tell them until they get it right, it's not worth them cocking up because of a silly mistake. We're feeling the full pain of the tax credits system, my OH got a new job and told them he worked 48 hours a week and earned this <----> much per hour, they put his hours down correctly but still had his wages as £0 for a year, at the same time my wage went to £0 because i went on extended maternity leave so we thought the change in the amount we were getting was correct. Anyway, it wasn't and now it turns out we've been overpaid a huuuuuuge amount!..and of course they want it back, which will take over 10 years pppffftttt.

If you no longer work more than 16 hours you will NOT be entitled to working tax credit (unless you have a partner that works 16 hours or more?)

Best to put it in writing twice and post the letters from 2 different post offices obtaining proof of postage when you do so. Then if they say you never told them you can prove you sent the letter twice so it's very unlikely they wouldn't receive it.
