Will you be giving breastfeeding a go?

I'm going to try but not too bothered if i can't. If i can i'm going to express some so that other half can help with the feeding.

I am going to give it a try! I am definitely concerned about pumping at work though...even though we have lactation rooms it still seems awkward.

Chins up girls..let's not say try, let's say yes! so..yes, I will be definitely 100% breastfeeding, even if I have problems again, which I did last time (terrible ones..!) - it was so, so worth it in the end. I feel like I do it perhaps not only for all the great health benefits for me/LO, but also as a little contribution towards normalising it here... (UK) Stories about mothers being chucked out of places/ talked down to for breastfeeding actually make me so enraged, when I get a hint of one I stop reading! It's completely ludicrous, it's like telling someone being pregnant in public is obscene. Make sure you all get support with it, it helps a huge huge amount to not feel alone, little probs can very quickly seem big and make you want to give up, but I promise after a very short while, it's 2nd nature and will be for as long as you want it to be. gl!

I really want to too. I'll be gutted if there is a problem, my Midwife is lovely she said if there is a problem just ring them and they will come round everyday and help me out if I need them to.

I brestfed my first till she was 9 month an only stopped cos she started biting an had sharp teeth, fingers crossed i will breastfeed again to 9 months!

I breastfed with my first for 6 weeks but then felt very uncomfortable in public etc... so switched to a bottle.
I was only 18/19 when he was born, very nervous and felt everyone was judging me. A few people tutting and shaking there heads did not help.
I have every intention of breastfeeding this time and hopefully for alot longer. Im going to buy myself one of the breastfeeding aprons just to make myself feel more confident in the early days.

Yes definitely! Well, I'm gonna give it a damn good crack anyhoo :holly:

I intend to. I breastfed my son without issue. But I'm now on a few meds that make me wonder if I'll be able to. I'll be sad if I can't. :(

I'm definitely breastfeeding, going to try my best to succeed as the benefits are amazing, less chance of breast cancer!!!!!!!!!! That's brilliant. My grandma recently found out he had breast cancer and she didn't breastfeed, I wonder if it could be linked.
Also the fact it's the healthiest thing for the baby AND saves you a lot of £$£$£$.

definitely!
i am looking forward to it actually! i loved feeding my last and although it was painful at times the joy and bond i felt from it was well worth it!
i will BF exclusively again and ill aim for 2 years again if bubby is happy :)

I am, at least something is free!!! I am hoping to also express enough that OH can give a bottle a day, not sure if that will work as this is my first. I can't wait to feed my baby!

i will be breastfeeding i did so with my son and will this time too

This baby will be nursed exclusively. I went through lots of issues like mastitis with my other children but we worked through it and after the first couple of months all went smoothly.

I miss nursing a baby and can't wait for that again!

Yep am going to give it a go. My OH is mega pro breastfeeding, this will be his second but my first. Going to try expressing too though so that he can bond and feed her aswell with bottles.

It's the thing I'm most looking forward to!!!
And agree you should def get help from a support group if you have any issues, the earlier the better!!

I will be giving it a go. Might try express the milk too so that OH can give feeds too.

Me too! I'm going to exclusively breastfeed the first three weeks, pump and freeze, and after that bf and pump everyday - that way DH and others can feed the baby too. With DD I bf'd her until five months then switched since I dried up like an field cow - hoping that doesn't happen with this one! I think breastfeeding this one is what I'm looking forward to most! :)

Yes for sure. I did it with my DS. I had such a hard time at the beginning, didn't get much help from the nurses either. Just kept at it, finally I got it and I loved every minute of it. It's such a wonderful bonding experience to look into their eyes while they latch on. I will definitely give it a go this time around too.
