Definitely! I won't be traveling for work after I have the baby, and the advantages of breastfeeding really overweigh not. Burning calories AND healthier for baby?? Yes please! lol
I definitly will give it a go. I really would love it to work.
All the benefits are sooo good. For both baba and myself.
Only negative is Dad will have to bond with baba in other ways, but when i can pump he can get stuck in with feeding then. We've discussed this and he's grand with that
I will be breastfeeding this one, all being well of course. But I can't foresee any reason I won't be. I bottle fed my first child after being discouraged by the midwives right after she was born and I always regretted listening to them (I'm in Ireland). I was only young and not very confident, so I thought they knew best.
By the time I had my DS (10 years on) so much had changed. The staff in the hospital where so so supportive and gave us a lot of their time to help me and baby get started. Then the public health nurse was great too. She was only ever a phone call away and so encouraging. The result was that after a hard few weeks I went on to breastfeed for 8 lovely months. I only stopped because I went back to college.
This time I'm hoping to breastfeed for at least 12 months.
