Wishing I could stop stressing and be able to try

I finally had a cycle 9 weeks after my d&c, doctor took blood tests and an ultrasound right before my cycle started, now that she knows I had a cyle she said I could start to try again, but the surgeon recommended 2 cycles. It's been 44 days and still no second cycle. There was thickness of the uterus which made my doctor think maybe there was some stuff missed during the D&C, should this flush itself out? Doctor wants another ultrasound after my second cycle comes and goes..... Anyone had this happen to them?
