Anyone know a good site I can read about this wonder week? Or know any good information on it? Or anyone already got through it can tell me their experience and what developmental milestones their LO achieved during this time?

Pretty sure im going through it. I found great information about wonder week 19 because its so common and supposedly the worst one but honestly they all feel the same to me....no sleep, crankiness, clinginess, MILESTONES, small 2 week break, repeat!

No I have android..sadly I haven't found any good apps with there services.

There's an Android app, try searching for "Wonder Weeks". I had to pay $1.49 for my Windows app, but it's worth it! (I bought the book too; much more informational... you might be able to find it for free at a library)

No I can't but I can tell you ours lasted two months And was the most difficult time of my time as a mother. Stopped sleeping through waking up to ten times a night despite weaning. Eating/drinking milk every two hours in the day. It would get to 1pm I wouldn't be dressed or anything because I was
Literally just keeping on top of my Los needs. BUT it got better I promise ;)

Wonder Week 26

Your baby will become more coordinated during this developmental leap. Your baby will also be able to tell distance between one object and another. This new discovery can be shocking to an infant and make them feel very small or out of control because they can not reach for the toy they want or their mom is too far away from them- hence the fussiness begins. He will need lots of assurance from you (the parents) and help to reach objects as he develops the skills himself to reach and obtain what he is after. This fussy periods usually lasts about 4 weeks, but can be as short as 1 week and also long as 5 weeks. The Chart on page 12. Shows this developmental fussy period starting as early as week 23 and lasting until the end of week 26.

It should also be noted that even after fussy phase is over, during weeks 29-30, your child may become a little fussy again. This short fussy phases is a mini bout of separation anxiety from mommy or daddy. They are still learning the concept of distance and don't like to be separated long from their mom or dad.

We're about to hit it as well. I'm scared. WW19 went pretty painlessly so I'm due. :/

I also had an easy WW19 with Evelyn, and I'm about done with WW26... it has also been a breeze. :) The only things I've noticed is she has been a little more clingy and she doesn't finish every bottle like she normally does. So there's still hope!

She's cruising around the house now though, so I'm getting my exercise in! :haha:

Thanks ladies. Im petrified of her waking up a thousand times at night again..she did for ww19 for 5 weeks. Shes been a bit rough since about 23 weeks and were ALMOST at 26 so im hoping we get through it with night sleep still intact.. Her naps are a completely different horror story! The other night she woke every hour but last night she woke every 4 so im hoping it was just a hiccup do to her teeth cutting through.

Have noticed though that shes starting to reach out for me or others, shes trying to crawl on her hands and knees instead of army crawling, shes been attempting sitting up on her own (done it a couple of times but usually falls in the process) and shes been trying to reach for her toys when they're a distance away..I cant even cuddle with her any more she just wants to go, go, go!

When do they start chatting with us? She used to coo a lot (goo goo ga ga) but she's actually pretty quiet (has been since about 4 months) ill catch her talking to herself if im out of the room but as soon as I come in and try talking with her she just stops and smiles instead.. she squeeks and squeels though.

That does give me hope! Thanks! :)

Optimistic - I think I remember hearing that when they are working on developmental stuff they do tend to go a bit 'silent' until they get to the other side of it. But I don't remember where I saw that so hopefully I'm not making it up! Lol.

Anytime! :flower: I just noticed your profile picture - I LOL'd for real! Trekkie from the womb!

There was a week and a half where she went silent and I actually got worried that she was regressing (I think it was at the beginning of WW26) and was about to call her doctor. Now she babbles away (her favorite is "babababa" - just started saying that about a week ago) and will hold a "conversation" with me. So hopefully soon for your daughter!

Wonder week 26 was living hell here bang on 22 weeks exactly when the app said he was stirring all night long couldn't settle cried at night for no reason I guess because he couldn't sleep and was overtired. I had to rock him bounce him swing him to get him to sleep. It lasted until 27 weeks then like a switch back to normal sleeping through or long stretches of 7 or more hours no more restlessness. He's still grumpy during the day now but we have just been through the mentioned fussy phase. I hope his sleep doesn't go bad on the next wonder week. Honestly I have no idea how I survived it I was exhausted. Luckily his naps were ok probably because he was too exhausted to not nap. Jeez makes me shudder. For my little one in that period he started to rock back and forth on his hands and knees he started crawling at 6 months...=-O he was getting more vocal so would sing and make sounds. He suddenly got massive so I think had c growth spurt. I can't tell you how amazing it was the night he slept through unexpectedly after that wonder week. Lol

Oh no now I'm worried Rose is 23 weeks and last night was the first night she slept in her cot all night only waking to feed 3 times then straight back to sleep it was amazing! Worried it will all go wrong again soon aaaaagggghhhhh

I am currently in ww26 hell. I'm beside myself I'm so tired. As pp said my lg just can't sleep on her own in her cot anymore. She can't settle herself like she used to and wakes 5-10 times a night.
She also has a ear infection which isn't helping matters!!!! I remember ww13 which I thought was bad!!!! I know it gets better, but this is our 5th night and I just hope it gets better soon.

:-(

Aww I hope things get better for you ladies. I think we might be hitting the worst (atleast I hope its the worst) of ww26. So far the past week every other day shes up every hour or 2..inbetween those days shes still up 4 or 5 times through the night..and still not napping more than a half an hour. Plus quite crank between naps..after about 45 min of being awake shes throwing herself around like she does when its nap time O.o

Hopefully since were almost at 26 weeks then were almost over it..it definitely hasn't been as bad as ww19 (knock on wood!!!!!) but still exhausting!

Pretty dire night. She woke 3 times despite being in bed with me and had to be bounced back to sleep. This took about 40 mins each time.
It's now 8:45am she's snoring next to me and I can't get back to sleep! Maybe it's because she was fine during ww 19! Payback!

Honestly I can't say it will happen for you all but it was shit on a stick for 5 weeks for us and at 7 months he either wakes once or sleeps through. It will get better...until the next one lol
