Wool Wraps..

And these are actual wraps are they? How do they hold the moisture in? They're so gorgeous! xxx

right, where in the UK sells these, and where is my credit card?!

I will find out where Rox and Hanna get theirs from :D

Yaay thats brill! They look like they'll be lovely for winter too! :D x

These are the main places they get their wool :) Pixieknits, bdazzlers, halobaby, thesoaringsheep, lanavida, bibsnbots, tempestuouspoppet

From Rox - the ones with the flowers i own are from bdazzlers, i have a few of her pieces. i also have a few pixieknits, her work is lovely - i have work from all of the above tho and all are great :) it just depends on how quickly you want an item and what colours you like best to pick which you go with :)

Oh god expensive though! Do you know if its special wool and what they do with it to make it waterproof? I may knit some myself (or have a go atleast :D) xxx

You have to lanolize them to keep them waterproof....you do that every few washes I believe, let me see if I can find a wool care FAQ thing

These aren't wraps that have been shown but they do make wraps. These pants/shorties/skirties all go on just like regular clothes, they would just wear that instead. Just like with fleece, like Hayden's fleece pants I've posted pics of...that's all he's wearing over a goodmama. Those you dont to lanolize though, just the material they are keeps them from leaking.

Thankyou Mo3! Thats really interesting! I love love love the idea of wool. Have just spent a fortune online tonight though, so might save the woolies until next week :D xxx

Haha I could never justify spending so much, I think cause Hayden is a boy, I think if he was a girl I'd have a stash of wool too...especially the skirties, I think there is only a small window of time that the knit pants look cute on boys haha. So we have stuck to mostly fleece

I think this Hayden looks very boyish :D

Yeah I think as newborn-maybe a year old they look cute, I don't like them on toddler boys so much. I've seen a few cute pairs but not my thing for a toddler boy to have knit pants lol

Missed this post earlier :) The ones I have posted are all wraps (wraps come in forms of shorties, longies and skirties). They are worn over a fitted nappy and the wool is considered a wrap. No wool wrap is waterproof but it's water resistant just like fleece :) And as with fleece, on a smaller baby or one that is sat/laid down alot, extra boosting is recommended to prevent any wicking

I guess it's different here, a wrap is one that goes on like say Thirsties..with the velcro and such. The wool would just be considered a cover

I expect its a lingo thing

Here wool is considered a wrap and therefore if a LO was wearing a thirsties (or bamboozle or such), then you wouldn't use a cotton bottoms wrap and then a pair of wool longies. The longies would be the wrap :) So they are like trousers and a wrap in 1 :)
