...Sewing Machine, so long as I buy no more nappies just yet . He has also said that I can only spend £40 tho so I'm off to look. Anyone know where I can get a decent electric one delivered for that . I need to be able to use it on heavier fabrics aswell as cusion covers / nappies (he never said not to try making them haha) etc.

I bought my sewing machine yesterday at dunelm mill they have a sale on at the min and have various machines starting at £10.49! So far i have made loads of wipes ( 1st thing to try!! ) and 2 nappies and ive just started another 1 now

You can buy a mains adaapter for £7 for mine

Might take another look at where my nearest dunelm is. I'd kinda like one that does more than 1 type of stitch too & can cope with hemming denim etc. Cheers hun

No worries I wanna buy a bigger one that does more stiches ect but while pennies are tight the basic one works for now

If you look in your Yellow pages for independent sewing machine shops, a lot of them have decent 2nd hand machines at good prices. I got my first machine this way for 35 quid & it was great.
