so its a boy :happydance:

first time around my dad was trying to get us to use a name he really really wants, we thought about it but in the end said no.
this time around we are considering it again but are more for it. BUT its a weird name and i would like to hear your views on it, i will also choose a second name but no idea what, and it sucks that the surname is long so harder to find a name.
keep in mind the language we speak over here is greek. therefore the name is greek. and it means alot to my dad because its a holy man (religion/christianity) who helped him in hard times.

aaaaaanyway here we go.
the actual name is

Thaddaios \th(ad)-daios\ is a variant of Thaddeus (Aramaic), and the meaning of Thaddaios is "heart".

and for short i thought maybe we could call him Theo. especially since my mum cannot pronounce the greek version! or maybe use his second name?
the surname is Mavromichali, in english that means Blackmichael
what do you think?
:flower:

I prefer the first name hun...purpely because I like the name Theo.

Theo and Ari go well xx

If your background is Greek and you want to include that - why not.
I imagine his name will blend in if you live in a Greek speaking area.
I think Theodore and Theodora come from Greek as well? Theo, Thade or Tad might work as a short form
Is your Mum English and dad Greek?

My mum is half english and half greek and my dad is greek, my DH is greek. however it is NOT a common name over here! its almost never heard of. but thats what i like!
and my first borns name is aristotelis (aristotle) but thats more common over here.

i have never heard that name before, i think it fits well with your heritage and your other childs name .

i also like the name Theo , but im not one for having a nickname for a child if i wanted to call him theo i would call him theo and not have it as a nickname iykwim , but each to their own :D

Im thinking of a second name to go with that and the surname. So far i only have one.

Thaddaios maximos mavromichalis

maximos is pretty much a version of max but posher!
