I will be a working mum. I'm on maternity leave at the moment, but will be going back to my full-time job in mid-August as a mortgage advisor for a large UK bank.

I'm going back to work full time in August. My dad's having Tom :D

I am a passenger escort and a playworker at playscheme i am on mat leave until 20th july which is only a month after my due date then i,ll work 5 wks fulltime then i will have 2 wks off and go bk to working 3 hrs aday escorting children to and from school in a taxi x

Im working full time too, Seth is nearly one (2 weeks time!) and Ive been back since he was 8 months.

He goes to nursery and loves it, and I love working too, although I do work a lot. % days a week, sometimes 40+ hours. I miss him all the time, but he loves nursery so much and he's developing so well that it makes it easier being away from him :)

xxx

do you think going back to work , little one is only 1 month old

im a working mum :)

my kids are 2 1/2 years and 11months old, ive been back at work since the new year. i work 16 hours a week in an office monday, tuesday, thursday and friday (4hrs each morning). i still put the kids in nursery on a wednesday though so i can do the grocery shopping, clean the house, do laundry and go to the gym.

my kids love nursery and i like having a break from them too to have grown up conversation LOL. if my kids didnt settle in nursery i would be a stay at home mum but they love it so much that i wouldnt want them to be stuck home with me all day!

well i have got a new job but my bank are taking ages on changing my name so i duno how long the new boss will wait, but to start i will work weekends then from then on go full time eventualy.

zane starts nursery for his first full day on tuesday

Im a working mum to, Lucas is 9 weeks old and Iwent back this week :(

Don't really have much choice as im self employed so wouldn't have a business if i didn't go back.....

What do you do ? When do you have to go back ? xx

I'm a part time working Mum. I work 3 days a week as a personal assistant/adminstrator. I love my job and love being a Mum too. My daughter is 9 months old tomorrow!
There is a part of me that loves going to work and having that other responsibility besides being a Mum but there is also another side that wishes we had enough money for me to be a SAHM.

Ive been back at work since Austin was 8 weeks old :( Only just recoverred from major surgery too! But had no choice, would be homeless otherwise!

Awww its crap isn't it :(

are you full/part time ?

i do anything from 16 hours a week, if my oh's mum can have austin longer then i work more hours. pain in the bum.

Im part timer :) I went back full time when Aiden was 1...but got dropped to 16hrs in April just gone due to the business 'downsizing'.
I LOVE working 16hrs it seems to be the right balance home/work not to much, not to little.shame I dont get paid for 40 hrs though :( think I'll be looking for ful time once baby #2 is born, despite how much Id love to just stay part time, pennies are needed!

finance assistant btw not the most exciting of job roles!

another working mom here. just got back to work this week (Elijah is 6 weeks old.). I'm in the pre-school education field. Luckily, the school I work with is only 5 mins away from home. I just hired a nanny to be with Elijah while I'm at work.

it sucks big time when i have to leave for work in the mornings. good thing now is that for the first two weeks of July, i don't have to report til 9am. that gives me time to play with Elijah & give him a bath before i need to prepare for my day.

:hugs: I feel for you, it's not fair when we have the choice taken away from us as to whether we want to stay at home or not. 8 weeks was/is early to go back especially after having surgery, I wish things could be different for you.

Austin is gorgeous by the way x

Im a working mum...went back to work when bubs was 9months...he now goes to a childminder...i use to be full time but now im part time which is 2 to 3 days a week, 12hr shifts...inc night and days and im a psychiatric nurse... xx

:hi:

I'm back at work full time on Thursday! :sob: OH is looking after Kyle on that day and then he starts nursery full-time on the Friday. He's had one settling in session already and only slept 15 mins rather than his usual 90 mins but I guess that's to be expected. I really hope he learns how to nap there as he has only just started sleeping better at night!

Kyle is nearly 8 months old.

My job function supports oil-rigs (well, ships but same idea) off the North Sea so it's very hard to do it part-time as there is always so much going on. I'm going to work FT until Xmas and see how our finances look.

Sending support to all the other working mummies xx

I work full time as a sysadmin. I went back when my LO was 9 weeks. Didn't have a choice, no mat pay here and my OH is now a full time SAHD.
