Hey everyone, am a bit confused with my cycle and was wondering if anyone can help!

I'm currently on CD4 - this being our second month ttc ater coming off the BCP. My first cycle after the BCP was 32 days and i am just trying to work out my Luteal Phase - does it have to be approx 14 days?

I had bad ovulations pains and a bit of EWCM on CD11 and 12 but am assuming i didn't ovulate then as that would be mean LP was 21days which is impossible right?!

Am confused because i had the ov pains and CM for ov but the timing of LP doesn't work out?!

Did this make any sense LOL

I think you need to track a few cycles b/c of just stopping the pill, it can take months for your body to regulate properly afterwards.
A healthy LP is anywhere from 10 to 16 days... you don't want it to be any shorter as the egg doesn't have time to implant etc
Your LP should always be the same every month give or take a couple of days... ovulation can vary but LP should be the same

So yeah, track a few cycles and hopefully you'll get into a regular pattern. x

i agree with gemie, it took me about 4 cycles to see a real pattern in everything, i didnt ovulate until the 5th month, by then i was an old hand at my cm pattern, and all those "symptoms" that arent, when i was in the early months i used to think if all these ladies know their cycle so well how come they arent pregnant? but believe me, the more you know about your cycle and your patterns and general feelings you get when waiting for af to arrive the better, the more information you keep from each cycle the more information you have to refer back to, we only have a 20-25% chance each month (hence lots of us knowing so much and not getting bfp) so all the information is helpful

i know it is a bit of a frustrating answer and yes it may take a few months but just keep a daily note on everything xkx

Yep, yep, what the girls have already said :)

It can take a few months to stabilise your cycles after BC, so just keep tracking and let things settle down.

:)

My LP is 13 days but it took a few cycles to work that out. BBT and OPKs are the best for that I think?

Thanks for your replies girls!

I'll have to be patient and wait for my cycles to sort themselves out and hopefully i'll start seeing a pattern soon! Tis just frustrating waiting LOL.

I didn't want to use OPK's or BBT just yet as i think i'll stress myself out over it all...
