Working Tax Credit 4 week run on

I rung up the other day to say my SMP had finished and they said I will get a 4 week run on of my tax credits in the form of a giro.Does anyone know how long this takes to come through?They said it can take up to 3 weeks

When you finish SMP if you arent working they carry on your WTC for 4 weeks but they pay it in the form of a giro,because otherwise it looks like you have been overpaid.xxx

ah right sorry i never knew but normally giros are issued quite quickly
