Right girls I'm confused as all the online calculators are giving me different outcomes!!

I will be moving in with OH soon I am 19 weeks pregnant and have a 4 year old, I do not work.

How much do you have to earn before you DON'T qualify for working tax credits??

im not sure on all this i dont work im a sahm and hubby is in army he brings in roughly 24k (before taxes) 19k (after) and we dont get wtc only ctc and we get is £38 every 4 weeks. plus then £80 cb every 4 weeks :) x

My oh works as well gets about 19000 a year. We will get similar to the poster above. As far as i no to got WTC you (as well as oh)will need to work at least 16 hours a week.

yup i think this is right

Thanks ladies...

My OH works over 16 hours but I think we're in the same position as you and would just qualify for ctc

But if we're living together it's combined isn't it??

I maybe wrong buit froim what i understand although it makes little sense, is that on just my oh wages we dont get wtc but if i work 16 hours a week as well then we do get wtc. I think it would be the same if you where single and worked

I think the cut off point is earning around 15k a year for WTC.

You have to earn less than 17k a year as a couple to get working tax credit although you may be entitled to child tax credit. As a couple (im only part time cos im at uni) we bring in around 24k and apparently we are entitled to £21 a week child tax credit but no working tax credit. x
