Working weekends?

My DD is due to start school September, but at the moment I work Saturdays and get a weekday off as well as Sundays.

I'm not quite sure what to do wether to test my luck and see if allowed Saturday off.. Has anybody else had this problem? What did/do you do?x

My hubby's a chef, he works all most every Saturday and if lucky will have one sun off a month, I also work in the hotel and usually work sat or sun just the way it is there's no harm in asking if you could have sat off, or at least the odd one xx

Im aso hotel based OH is a chef so hes always working weekends .. My friend from my dept reception changed hers in sept from weekend shifts to weekday shifts due to her LO starting school.

I am due back to work in Feb and have already asked that i do Mon Tues Weds rather than my old shifts of Weds Fri Sat .. and my boss said yep thats ok.
