Sorry just read your update. I still wouldn't worry, it will almost certainly turn out to be nothing and if it is, it has been caught early and therefore can be treated more easily. My friend's boy who is now 13, he has a slight ridge on his forehead even now but while the specialists thought his skull had fused prematurely, and in some places it had-it could grow sufficiently elsewhere so all was fine. My friend's daughter also had this suspected as by three months her soft spot seemed to have closed completely and her head seemed quite narrow and an odd shape, however her soft spot hadn't completely closed and while they couldn't be easily felt all the sutures between the skull plates weren't closed either, she is eight months now and her soft spot is still the same and her head is a normal shape and size now-it's being kept an eye on but it appears that all is well xx
