That's awful. I dunnO how it works in other countries but in uk u would get an u/s etc and if it's not looking promising u go back a week or so later.

I am sorry you are going through this. I too would wait it out. Now if these twinges get any worse at all, you need to go to the ER right away. The fact that you are now having side like tummy pain, is worrisome, but not dire. I have it all the time, but since this is my 7th pregnancy I know what pain is what, KWIM?? GET COPIES OF EVERYTHING!!!! You will want/need it when you go to a real doctor in October. DO NOT take their word for it. I once had a doc call me to go over my blood work (not pregnancy related), and she didn't know I had already had the office email me the results. She blatantly LIED about what they were!

You know your body better than anyone else. Don't let anyone talk you into/out of something. No matter what anyone says, YOU are in charge here!

Wait until October. There's nothing you can do now anyway. Definitely get copies of all of your medical records from this hospital. Its way too early to be saying blighted ovum, but with your HCG starting off so high and not doubling, it may indicate that. Just too early to diagnose for sure.

I feel like they have wanted it from the start and were upset that I want to keep it.

That makes me LIVID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DEFINITELY don't let them pressure you into a D&C!!! If they did that, and they discovered you actually had a living, viable baby that they killed, I bet they wouldn't even tell you!!! Just hold out for your new insurance to kick in and go to a doctor where the priority is on saving babies when possible, not killing them off at the first sign of a problem!

I told my husband the exact same thing! Also thanks for the website, lots of stories that made me cry, but feel lots better too. I plan on going back to pph, but just to talk to a dr., no u/s, no nothing but actual medical info!

I feel more positive today than I have since I stepped foot in PPH! I finally told my mom( I hadn't told her b/c I didn't want her to be sad or disappointed too if something went wrong. She told me the side pains( like a pulled muscle or stitch-like),I've been having, is the way she found out she was pregnant with me. My auntie was had taken her to the dr. b/c they thought she was having appendicitis. And she described the same feeling before I ever mentioned them. My heart soared!!! She told me to forget PPH, and just focus on a healthy pregnancy. I guess no matter how old we get our mommy can ALWAYS make us feel better!
