 I am 7 weeks today, not tested for a week so did an IC and the test line is so much fainter than last week. I did another one in case it was the test, but that one was the same. I just know there is going to be no heartbeat at my scan tomorrow

maybe your hcg levels are too high, there was a thread that i saw where a woman had to dilute her wee to get a darker line?

Fingers crossed everything turns out okay for you x

I'm 7 weeks also and have tested this morning and it's lighter than normal, also a little achey around the stomach.

But I know when I MC'd, I had no pain until it was actually the time, if you know what I mean.

You are probably at that stage where you got to dilute your pee to get a dark line which means your HCG is very high :) try that and see

Just popping over from 3rd Tri - I am currently 29 weeks and I too tested around 7-8 weeks and my test was much lighter than it had been, but as you can see the pregnancy continued and we are having a little boy.

As someone has already mentioned if HCG levels are too high it can affect the test. Please don't worry I am sure everything will be fine.:hugs:

Love Ellie xx

Thank you all for replying. LO is asleep now so going to test again in an hour or so, will also try one diluted and see if it makes a difference. I know I only have to wait til tomorrow til i find out but I just feel really anxious now. I think because i havent been as sick in this pregnancy as with my others too. I hate this constant worry :nope: xxxxx

Couldnt help myself and tested again, line was a buit darker this time, diluted it and its gone as dark as the control line now, so maybe you are all right, I really hope so! Feel a little more reassured now, just want it to be tomorrow! Thanks all xxxx

Here we go babe:

From what I've read on my test, how quickly the line comes up depends on how concentrated in HGC levels the urine is. So my line appears within 5-10 seconds.

So there's alot of HGC in the urine. I know when I MC'd last time, I had a positive test one night, next morning bleeding, next day negative test. That's how quickly the HGC level disappears.

So, I've just tested what they said about diluting the urine:

First one is from around 2 hours ago where I thought lighter.

I squeeeeezed out a little pee and did a test which is No2

Then I diluted that pee and got No3

Now, all lines appeared within 5 seconds.

I have NO idea why No2 is darker. And No1 WASN'T with first pee of the day. So perhaps No2 which was a very small amount of pee had more concentrated HGC in it.

But I hope this makes you feel better.

Thanks for that hun, my test looked like your top one too, and the test i've just done diluted, like your 2nd one. They just seem to have a mind of their own, dont they  Its a good job these tests are cheap arent they , imagine if we had to buy FRER's all the time :haha: xxxxx

So true hun. I got them because of my MC's, just wanted to check every so often when I get pain or aches. But I also thought my first one this morning was light, then I saw your post and wanted to do one before and after diluting. Just turned out the before diluting was darker in my case, but the one after diluting is still darker than the one I had this morning.
:hugs:

Why are we still doing tests???

If it is dark and it reassures you then ok, but if its lighter how upset and in a panic are you going to be!!

...I dont think a hpt can confirm that you have not miscarried....I miscarried at 10wks and was still getting bfp's 3/4 wks later.

The fact that you are not having heavy bleeds/unbearable cramps should be taken as a sign that all is well.

Hope you enjoy your scan tomorrow. Update us with pics!:flower:

Well when I MC'd at 8 weeks in January, the day after I MC'd I got negative. So it's different for everyone.

If this is what we find comfortable then it shouldn't be your place to judge.

I test because im a worrier. I know how things can go wrong, and that sometimes there arent symptoms like cramping or bleeding. If my scan is ok tomorrow, I wont be testing again, but I know Im going to be this all the way through.

Hey?? Why use this tone of typing?? It certainly isn't anyones place to judge as you say, but I dont think I was judging anyone. I said if its reassures you then do it!!

I guess the time it takes for the hormone levels to drop can be different for everyone.:flower:
