Worries about 8 months old weight

My daughter is 8 months old and weighs 16.8lbs at months she weighed 16.5lbs... Idk why it worries me so much but the doctor seems fine with it.. She is breastfed and eating solids regularly. How much do your 8 month olds weigh?

Mine is 7.5 months and about 15 lbs, 10 oz. If the doc isn't worried, I wouldn't worry. They look at a lot more than just weight, like how active and bright-eyed your baby is, and whether they're meeting milestones. If the doc isn't worried, than I'd say she's probably just fine! Just a little peanut, is all.

My daughter was the same weight at 8 months. She's 10 months and now 19lbs. But the doc isn't worried. She's average in weight and 90% in height.

Mines a peanut too, bang on 17 pounds at 9 months. No need to worry! As long as LO is growing along their curve and healthy, it's fine. Someone has to be small, right?

My lo weight 16lb 10oz just a few days before he turned 8 months. If your doc isnt worried then it should be fine

Mine hit 16 pounds, 10 oz at 12 months. She is perfectly fine; yours is, too

My lo is also 8 months, 16.5 lbs! This is after a growth spurt...she went fro the 70th % at 3 mos to the 20th % at 5 months. Her length for weight went from 80th % at 3 months to 2nd% at 5-7 months. We went to the GI Dr and had so many test done, she didnt gain for over 2 months but we never found a cause. Dr is no longer concerned. She looks healthy and is hitting milestones.

This is such a reassuring thread. Sophie went from tge 75th in height and 80th in weight to the 15th in height and 62nd in weight over a short period. She's only gaining 60-70 grams a week.

At one stage she gained 480 grams in 10 days!

Worrying but she looks ok. She has gained no.length for several weeks.

My LO was 19.7lb at 7.5 months, but she was a big baby at birth. If doctor isn't concern then I'm sure you have nothing to worry about.

DD is 16.3 lbs at 7.5 months.

My little girl weighs 14lb 10 at 9 months. She's following her line after a big dip from 4-6 months. Seems happy abs healthy so no concerns here.

16 lb 3 oz at 8 months. My son was breastfed til 11 months, started solids at 6.5 months. His weight was off the charts, below the 0.4th centile from 8 weeks old til 5 months old! I was worried, I went to docs and referred myself to breastfeeding advisors at the hospital.

He is just perfectly small like all the other LOs on here.

He is now 24 lb at 17 months now - on the 50th line
