Would this be okay as a gift?

For my sons little best friend. She'll be 3 in march and i've had no idea what to get but just thought

2 or 3 packs of crayola (crayons, felts, stampers) and a nice melissa and doug colouring book.
Does that look okay? want it to be something really nice or do you think buying one big gift would be better i.e. dinosaur toy (she loves dinosaurs haha)
