I'm not worried about it being shortened, as we have a long surname, I just wondered if other people would automatically do it.

She would be named after the arsenal captain, Francesc Fabregas, and he is known as Cesc!

My cousins little girl is Francesca and she is always called Frankie.

My name is Francesca and that was what i was called until i was 5 and started school when it became Cesca and now I go by Fran most of the time.
