Would you still use these names?

We have pretty much got a girls name set in stone, but OH has pretty much vetoed any boys names I have suggested The only 2 we agree on are Aaron and Adam. However, 2 of my mum's friends have sons named Aaron, and my next door neighbours son is named Adam. Would this put you off using either name?

Why not use them?! Your mums friends are hers, not yours (and even if they were, it's your son!) and your next door neighbor probably won't be your neighbor forever!
Both are lovely names.

Nothing would put me off a name I love, especially if OH likes it and it goes with last name.

Friends children wouldn't bother me.

Neighbour possibly - thinking of the children would end up playing together etc.

Depends on age gaps...

I like Aaron over Adam. And I can see why you might consider other names. Normally I wouldn't let it bother me that someone else I know shares the same name, but if there are just so many, it might be worth it to consider something else.
