Would you take baby to a barbecue?

God, i couldnt tell you what emily wasnt eating at 8 months old! She was such a ganat and ready to try everything, and anything! Nothing wrong here, enjoy the BBQ! :flower: xx

I'm guessing he had no idea about baby's age or about BLW, and possibly thought you were going to force feed a two month old with a T bone steak! But still. He didn't need to be so rude about it! It would've been hard to have a sensible comeback to him at the time, but a letter of complaint might educate him and make you feel better. Can I ask if the butchers was in North or South Bristol, as we are also living in the city and regularly use our local butchers.

And my children have been camping and to BBQs all their lives. There's always plenty for them to munch on and much more fun eatin outdoors. Of course you'd be sensible and keep them away from the cooking area, same as in the house.

Try not to let one person's ignorance get to you. You really do know best

Thanks :-) North, it was one on Gloucester Road. Where abouts are you? (don't worry if you don't feel comfortable saying). xx

I can't imagine not taking my LO to a BBQ. When my first was 9 months old we had a BBQ for Thanksgiving and despite having no teeth he very much enjoyed corn on the cob and gnawing on a rib as well as all the other foods available to eat.
I wish he ate as well now. He turned picky and it's a fight to get him to try anything these days.

Hi
We are in South Bristol, our butcher is on North street. Not BBQ weather today, eh!

Yep! Every time it's remotely sunny we take advantage and have a BBQ. Oliver loves the salad and sausages! X

I know, what happened?! Very glad I made the most of it now!

it could be cuz barbecued food isnt very good for u https://realgoodfood.com/recipes-2/real-good-barbecue/is-barbecue-good-for-you/

but more than likely, he has no idea about babies and thinks ur son was a newborn or something lol and shouldnt eating solids yet. id say..TOTALLY ignore him, go and enjoy ur barbecue. its not like ur having one every day and its good for him to try different foods, plus who doesnt love a bbq!!!!x
