Would you use the same name as your pet?

I wouldn't use it BUT that's with good reason. Our rabbit is called Tilly and oh likes the name Matilda. I do quite like it too & do like Tilly as a little girls name but dd (who is 3) would be so confused!! Lol. Even changing the rabbits name wouldn't help - dd would just argue with us and then tell everyone (including new bubs) that our rabbit & baby have the same name

Otherwise - although I love our bunny very much - i'd just change her name & use the one I wanted for baby. & next time call your pets something outrageous

Back in mine and OHs earlier years we got a leopard gecko and gave it a name we both LOVED.... gecko died a while later and have since realised we would have liked to use the name if we ever had a girl.... I haven't actually decided if we would and probably wouldn't really think about it too much until/unless we ever were in the position of expecting a little girl.

funny though as we used the name for a boy gecko but would only use it as a girls name for a baby lol
