X-Factor

Yes pack up sounds right! No I have a fuzzy memory of her voice other than that it was unusual! I would so fail an exam on pop! Going to youtube now... Knew you ladies would know. :D

Who's Leon?

The guy who beat Rhydian - he disappeared without a trace! I just think some acts get very big for their boots, not realising how fickle fame can be. Paije came across as such a lovely, grounded boy.

I sound like I'm about 100!!

I remember him now, Rhydian was by far the better singer. And he's my all time favourite X factor contestant too.

Thinking about Leon makes me think of last years Joe McEldarry, they seem the same to me. Nothing against them as people but they both seem like "disappear without trace" types to me.

i hated rhydian

My fav act of all time from xfactor is JLS :)

Yes, just a bit 'meh' - like you say, nothing personal...and they have good voice. Just clearly not the X Factor!

I thought Rhydian was brilliant - that title should have been his!

When I saw him at the auditions I hated him too. He seemed so arrogant and he looked like a troll doll with his weird hair.

But when he sang "Get this party started" in that horrible fur coat he made me laugh and I liked him for having the balls to laugh at himself by dressing up like that and singing that song.

And as it got close to the show where they sing Christmas songs I was desperate for him to sing O Holy Night, my favourite Christmas song, and he did.

It was beautiful. I was in hospital at the time giving birth to Elisabeth and we knew she was going to die soon after she was born. I was all dazed from the medication but the nurse had put the TV on in the room and I could hear him singing and it was so beautiful. I think I was drifting in and out of consciousness because I kept hearing it a lot, long after he had stopped singing it.

Then later on, after Elisabeth was born and while she was still alive, it was repeated on some other programme or the news or something. I don't know, I wasn't in any state then to pay attention to the programme, it just made me happy to know that my little girl heard him sing that beautiful song before she died.

That was probably the only beautiful thing she ever experienced before she died.

So for me, nobody on the X Factor past, present or future can beat him. He will always be my favourite just because, without even knowing it, he did that for us and for our little girl.

But I do think JLS sang Hallelujah better than Alexandra Burke, I wanted them to win rather than her when they sang that.

^ that is a really touching story. I can see why it is special to you :hugs:

Am so, so, so sorry - what a heartbreaking thing to happen. I am sure your little girl heard that beautiful song, and she has her own angel voice now, too, and is looking over you.
