Playing guitar's new isn't it? So far he's been the most consistent in terms of his singing and performance together with a specific style. Personally I don't much like the chopping and changing that some do. When it comes down to it people buy records that sound similar. When someone/band who's been doing it for years suddenyl changes style people never like it.

I think I can't see past not being much of a fan of boy bands. I also resent that Simon's only got his two manufactured bands left. Were there really no decent bands that started out that way in all the auditions?

No, there weren't many at all but there were 2 I prefered over one direction and belle amie.
