Your 6-7 Month old feeding routine...

7am - wake and bf
8am - breakfast - porridge
9am - usually a nap
10.30am - bf
11.30am - lunch - usually toast based, cheese on toast etc
12.30pm - nap
2.30pm - bf
5pm - short bf
5.30pm - dinner - whatever we're having or fingerfoods if I'm not eating with her
7pm - bf and bed

All bottle amounts and times are approx, it can vary...

7am - 7oz
11am- 7oz
12 noon - offer her bit of my lunch, cheese on toast, fruit etc. 99% of it gets spat out
3pm - 7oz
4pm - snack, fruit, yoghurt, hoummous on rice cakes, toast etc. Again, she doesn't actually eat much, if any
7pm - 7oz
11pm dreamfeed - sometimes refuses, sometimes takes 9oz!

So you can see, Ruby isn't eating any solids to speak of yet, and is fine....I'm sure whatever you're doing is absolutely fine too. :)

Ours is fairly similar to Claires:

8am - get up
9am - 8oz
1pm - lunch - bit of whatever I am having
2pm - 8oz
6pm - dinner - whatever we are having
7pm - 8oz - bedtime
11pm - 8oz
4am - 8oz

All the times are approximate as they are different every day. She doesn't actually swallow much food yet, hardly anything. :)

Maisies goes like this..

6am - bottle.
8.30am - breakfast and remainder of formula which is usually about 5oz.
12.00pm - toast and a yoghurt ( she only has a few spoons)
2.30pm - bottle
5pm - half a jar of food.
6.30pm bottle before bed.

Does that sound ok??
xx

How many oz's is she getting in total? I was reading the other night and apparently at 6months they should be getting around 30ozs of milk a day

I offer her 8oz at each bottle, it differs on how much she takes each time x

7am - 8oz
10am - Porridge
12pm - 7oz
1pm - Toast (was aswell fruit but refusing savoury so have cut this out)
3pm - offers a 7oz but sometimes takes 5 sometimes refuses
4pm - Purees, either turnip, carrots etc etc
6.30 - 7oz & bed

I asked HV how much milk they needed and she said 18 - 21oz.

x

8/8.30am: half jar of breakfast or powder mix up of breakfast followed with a bottle

7pm - 7oz Bed Time Milk

After reading all your routines I feel like mine is really bad with Emma. Did it take you a while when you starting weaning to get into those routines?? Emma is now 20 weeks and I've started to wean her from last week after long consideration, it wasn't just a snap decision (but I don't want to turn this into a debate about whether I should or shouldn't have), so today went like.....

7:30 - Woke up
7:45 - 7oz milk
10:00 - 5 heaped baby spoons of fruity porridge (powder) mixed with some formula
10:50 - 5oz milk
2:00 - 7oz milk
4:00 - 5oz milk
4:50 - Pureed carrot and broccoli (approx 12 babyspoons) followed by some pear
6:00 - 4.5oz milk
6:15 - Bed

Total 28.5oz milk

Each time Emma is offered an 8oz bottle.
She also has water after her 'breakfast' and 'lunch'.
So goes to bed so 'early' because she just gets dead tired and nothing but a bottle and bed seems to satisfy her. Seems early to me but maybe it's not?

Yesterday's was very similar and she slept 6.15pm til 7.30am.

Would really like some honest opinions on this!

I don't think that sounds really bad at all...if Emma wants to go to bed at 6.15 then so be it, especially if she doesn't nap much. Ruby sleeps brilliantly at night but hardly naps at all, so most days she is easily ready for bed at 6.15 except OH needs picking up so she has to wait :(

Freya goes to bed anywhere between 6-8pm, she is ready by about 6pm most days, it just depends how long the bath takes as she loves it and can play for ages.

Also she has between 30-40oz a milk every day, sometimes more.

Here's Archie - he is 6 months corrected but I need to wean him as if he is 9 months actual so it might look at bit much.

7am - 8oz of follow on milk
8am - Breakfast = 1 weetabix or readybrek with a small banana mashed in
9am - nap then juice or water
11.30am Lunch = one tommie tippee weaning pot plus three cubes of veg + pudding + drink of water or juice
12 noon nap
2.30pm - 7oz of follow on milk
4pm - nap then juice or water
5pm - Dinner = same as lunch
7pm bed with 8oz of bedtime milk

Thanks Kirsten & Claire! Claire - I LOVE your new avatar, Ruby looks so adorable!!
