each to their own, i dont mind the normal ones but ive said it before, the preemie ones are so wrong if they are just randomly made to be autioned/sold on (like, not custom made for a mother)

omg they are all so precious absolutely amazing. I have never heard of these so just googled it and they are truley truley amazing. I cant believe you can have one custom made too what a heartfelt thing to do for all the wonderful angel mummies. If they werent so expensive i would have 3 custom made of when all my boys were newborns so when they grow up they can see what they looked like and i would always remember how they looked and how small they were, its so hard to remember how small and precious they are too easily when they start to take on different features as they get older.

Well I have a phobia of dolls anyway - they all just really creep me so I opted for 'Don't Like Them' but I'm loving the monkey

I can see why an Angel Mommy would want one of these dolls though - as other people have said, they can be a coping mechanism for someone that has sadly lost their LO x

When I sold Daisy's crib, the woman who bought it was buying it for her reborn! £100 seems excessive for a dolls crib, at least it won't outgrow it I guess

Ok I see...if they are to help an angel mommy, that's a different matter, if it helps them. My friend has one just because she loves it and thinks it's beautiful. Like I said, she just keeps it put away and looks at it occasionally. I have such a phobia about dolls that it particularly frightened me because of how life-like it looked.

I haven't seen them but the monkey is terribly cute! And I've seen a woman who lost a baby once wheeling around an empty pram for ages, it made me so sad Everyone copes with loss in different ways, I guess.

My mum is a reborn doll artist and is very talented. It takes a long time to make these dolls and each one is different. This is why they cost so mch
She makes dolls for a variety of people. Some of those people are angel mummies but a lot just like to collect dolls. In the same way that you would collect ornaments or stamps! Its quite rare for someone to treat the dolls as real babies. TV shows seek out these people to shock viewers. They are extreme cases.

I personally find them a bit freaky and wouldn't sleep in the same room!

This might sound a bit weird, but if I could have had a doll made to look like my angel baby, I probably would have. Not to treat like a real baby, but just so I could pull it out and see my baby's face when I started missing him too much.
