Thanks everyone, i can now settle slightly. Ive worked out that means il be about 9weeks when I go for my NHS 12 wk scan. So i dont know if theyl scan me then maybe get me back in. Lady today said they might if im too early for them to be satisfied.

Hello friends, I went to my appointment today, baby is where he’s supposed to and we could see the heartbeat. But, I measured 5w6d and I know for a fact that I can’t be less than 6w3d, and also I have a little intrauterine hematoma. Do you have experience with things like this?? Do you think this sounds terrible? I don’t know what to think, the doctor said congratulations and just rest a bit, but none of these things happened in my previous pregnancy and I’m so sad right now.

The measurements when you are that early are so tiny that they can easily be off by a few days so don’t worry about that. I’ve often had a small hematona it’s just a small bleed from implantation. Everything sounds great. The fact you have seen the heartbeat is so so reassuring. Congrats x

Cause the babys soo small its hard to get a accurate measurement ul prob find when you go for your 12wk scan itl be different again

Thank you so much for the reassurance, and sorry for the negativity.
I’ve seen on google that at 6w3d the embryo should measure like 7mm and mine measured 2.5mm, I know I shouldn’t look at that stuff, I want to be hopeful and happy but it’s difficult. The doctor said she wants me to come back at 9 weeks, which is odd because the protocol says next appointment is at 12 weeks, I just have a bad feeling about it. And I have so much work that I won’t be able to rest at all like the doctor said.

Did they call it a chorionic bump? I just had that happen this pregnancy. I was so scared! They had me come back two weeks later at 9 weeks as well so I was even more freaked out, but it was gone. Try not to panic, they told me that if there’s a heartbeat then there’s a very good chance of it going away. I’ve had 4 other pregnancies and this was the first time it happened to me too. I’m 10 weeks now.

Try not to panic, they told me that if there’s a heartbeat then there’s a very good chance of it going away. I’ve had 4 other pregnancies and this was the first time it happened to me too. I’m 10 weeks now.

So great it was gone! I hope same thing happens to me. I think she called it a retrochorial hematoma. Thanks for the reply

if it makes you feel any better, i went to my first scan expecting to be 7weeks and 1 day and i went and i was 6 weeks 2 days , there was a heart beat etc i was freaking out but the baby has continued to grow at that pace ever since , i dont know to this day why she was smaller, they told me sometimes implantation can take longer etc. it doesnt make sense for me as it means i got a positive test at like 4 dpo which is not possible. so its a mystery for me (and i was tracking temps ov tests and it clearly shows ovulation and it could be out by 1 day maybe but not 5) but shes healthy and growing. so i hope its the same for you and this gives you some peace of mind x
