12 week scan letter?

When did you get your 12 week scan letter? The midwife seemed quite surprised I hadnt received mine yet! Do I need to apply for a scan or do the midwives do that on my behalf?

I'm so anxious to get my scan to make sure everything is ok and so I can announce my news to people!

It depends where you live. I live in East Anglia and am having to arrange all of my own appointments which is great because at least I know they are getting done! I had to telephone the scan unit last week and I have my scan booked for this Thursday when I will be 12+3. Might be worth checking with the midwife to see who should be doing this for you.x

Thanks, the midwife just said I should be getting a letter through the post, so i presumed they organise it all? If nothing comes by end of week I will call the midwife.
