We were told that there are 3 types, of which 2 were the ones to be concerned about. They found what they called a weakly positive score for the 3rd type of antibody in DH's and that was 40%. They said it was only if we got to 80% would they get worried as it would cause problems for IUI/IVF.
Apparently the antibodies can attach tithe sperm in different places and cause either problems with the direction they swim in, or slow them down, or if they are attached to the head can stop them attaching to the egg.
I don't think 15% sounds like a problem at all, but it may depend on what type of antibody it was?
thanks for that. No they didnt say what type of antibodies they were but he is repeating the test in 3 weeks. We are considering doing an IUI before moving to ivf... not sure what to do x
