2014 Bargain Thread!

Yeah it's 9.50 per person (you have to apply for four people, but that's why I rang after an cancelled), then you pay for your electricity/gas for the caravan which is like £4 a day and then your entertainment passes, which you don't always need unless you want to use the club house.

Essentially I paid £70 ish for;
an upgraded caravan (it was huge and really clean)
I paid for my partner and I - 9.50 each
insurance through the sun - so I was covered if our car broke down on the way or something
Gas and electric for the week in the caravan
I paid for the entertainment passes for my partner and I, baby was free, so we could use the clubhouse (we played bingo a few times, the slot machines to pass some time and the pool etc)

I took off the linen as they add this on for about £15 but they provide pillows and quilts, just not the covers and I was fine taking my own. I took my own everything.

Really good value for money - I looked on trip advisor to make sure that i picked a good park. You put down five parks and dates, in priority order and you're usually good to get a match. I got my last week but my second park and was really happy...we got the only week of sunshine! Plus the same week at the park was somewhere around. £230!

We weren't treated any differently either from those who paid full price, you can differentiate between yourselves as to who is on a sun holiday and who isn't. Plus I got in touch with the park and asked for a quiet caravan, which they did for us.

Definitely recommend it!

Not sure if it's already been on but the works are closing down (or at least the one in leamington spa) and their website has a lot of goodies on there cheap.

I've picked up a few Disney short story books and a Dora book reduced to 99p from £8

Saving them for next year!

I also picked up these chairs from elc, thought they'd be good for summer or when lo starts sitting at a table to eat

asda seem to be selling wooden toys for stupid
prices, there was a wooden garage for £10 and their
dolls house furniture set is now £8

there were quite a few bits reduced worth having
a nose when instore

they also have wrapping paper for pennies and boxes
of chocolates for 50p although they wont last until
next year due to sell by date i wasn't going to say no
to chocolate orange truffles for 50p

Wilkinsons have half price off on thomas tank figures/toys. They were in this sort of packaging but they don't talk
