I had a blood test done a few months ago to see if i was ovulating.. came back i was ovulating.. It's just annoying that my gp won't do anything.. clearly shows she doesnt care at all. x
My regular OB/GYN referred me after an HSG (hubby had already gone to a Urologist to check things out with him) to a Reproductive specialist, as she thought that our only option with one tube blocked and no swimmers found on his biopsies that straight to IVF was our only option...luckily the doctor thinks we can still do this with minimal technology. We had the normal stuff first, though. DH did two SA's (since the first one came back with no sperm present results, which turned out to be correct and not "contaminated" as they thought), they drew blood and checked LH, progesterone, thyroid, glucose, etc., asked if the OPKs were showing positives, and then for the HSG (uncomfortable, but worth it for the results). Sometimes it can be a factor in one partner, and sometimes its a combination of both, like us.
I didnt do Clomid my first IUI, and we werent going to do for the second either, but my thought was "oh, hey, if there is only one tube that can be accessed, then if it isnt ovulating on that side this time, its like throwing my donor sample in the trash...so can we do the Clomid this cycle and see if we have a L side winner?" this time around we did...and im keeping hopeful that we have success, because man, Clomid combined with the Novarel trigger makes me a whimpery weepy mess more than PMS ever did! I dont know if the Clomid prompted the L to O when it wouldnt have normally, or if it would have anyway, but the Ultrasound confirmation is what made it worth it...as long as you dont mind giving yourself an intramuscular shot in the bottom...
