35 and over and ltttc for baby #2 for over 2.5yrs!

Eyemom I'm totally disorganised too!! I think I peaked too early this year as I felt festive and excited so early and now we are a week away I don't!! I have most of my presents but not all, haven't even started wrapping! Feel really unorganised as always!!

Sorry to hear about your moms cousin. Loss is always difficult and sad no matter what your relationship with them. I hope the funeral goes as well as such a sad occasion can do.

No not tried progesterone cream before. Yeh I'd guess an 11 day luteal phase would be ok but I get pms, like chronic back lower back pains from 8-9 dpo and I know by then af is coming so I feel like if my body already knows af is coming how can an egg implant? Dunno. I figure after getting preg twice pretty much first time and now trying a year, there must be something wrong and that's the only thing it can possibly be.

Only a week to go ladies!! Xx

Hi ladies- Mrs W suggested I join you here :) been TTC #2 for 16 cycles with 2mc. Been referred to a fertility specialist but they are saying they won't help until a year from my last mc.

I see Mrs W, I hope it makes a difference for you!

Welcome Bug. So sorry for your losses. :-( That's so frustrating that they make you wait! Curious what country you're in know what health system you deal with. Your little guy in your avatar is a cutie.

Bug hello! Nice to see you again but sorry to hear that you are struggling too. It feels so much better to be around the guys in here who are all going through the same.

Mrs W - good luck with the cream. I have a 12 day LP (sometimes 11 ) so I do worry that's not helping. I had my progesterone checked and it came back fine though so maybe not. Anything over 10 should be fine.

Eyemom - sorry to hear about the funeral. Hope all goes well as can be expected.

Short reply from me tonight. The evil one has got me. Disappointed but some how I was expecting it. It will be the New Year before I'm next able to try a medicated cycle. The clinic is now shut for Christmas.
It's probably best for me to wait until I see the blood doc to get my iron levels reduced before I waste another IUI cycle. From Dr Google too high an iron level can affect fertility too. Do maybe that is the root of my issues.

Eyemom hope tomorrow goes ok.

Sorry the witch got you Tommy! Hope everyone else is okay. I haven't had a lot of time to play catch up. Hopefully soon!

Eh. It's Christmas lol I'm not spending too much time worrying about it. I'll pick back up after the holidays. I think I'm just stable at 17lbs lost. I'm keeping sugary drinks out of my life even if I'm not being very careful and monitoring my portions some. That's the extent of my effort right now.

Loosing the sugary drinks is a good thing.
I know what you are saying trying to diet in the middle of fatty food season is a nightmare.

Tommy - I am so stinking sorry! I hate that :witch:
:( Here 's hoping the iron issue is the problem and once you get that squared away - you will be PG in no time... Big

Braven - I am feeling the same way about weight loss during the holidays... once the 1st of the year gets here - back on the eating healthy and exercising bandwagon...

:hi: to everyone else

Aw man tommy, I know you were keeping your hopes in check, but I was really hoping for you. Sounds reasonable to get the iron levels sorted next...do you know what that would entail? Hopefully an easy fix? It'd be awesome if that turned out to be your answer. Big hugs. I agree with Srbjbex, maybe a drink is in order.

Hang in there Braven, 17 lbs is great. I think cutting out the sugary drinks can make a huge difference. That was always my vice, but I kicked that habit (mostly) when I was pregnant with DD1.

lanet, hope you and the babies are doing fine.

HI everyone else.

Funeral was today. Can't imagine how it could have gone any better all things considered. Had both my girls there. I think having a little baby there was a good thing...something for people to be happy about. Though his wife did comment that she wished he'd gotten to see her. :(

Hi Ladies - haven't been on much with the little one sick. Hope everyone is doing well. Haven't had a chance to go back and read all comments.

Eyemom - so sorry for your loss. I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers!!

Hope you all have a Merry Christmas!!

eyemom - I am sorry for you loss and you are right about a little baby at a funeral... when my youngest was born my uncle died 3 days later - I had a week old baby at the funeral (it was my second wasn't as loopy about germs) and my remaining uncle held her in his gigantic hands - it was precious... and now that he is gone too - its a great memory for me...

welcome snuffsan - this is a great bunch of ladies here - please share your story if you want!!! :flower:

:hi: lanet - I hope the twins are doing ok and you too!! :hugs:

:hi: to all you other ladies!! Merry christmas!! :xmas8::xmas12:

This thread was slow-ish for a while. When Orchid gets back, she's not gonna know what hit her LOL. ;)
