Hi All

I'm new to this forum so thought I would introduce myself!

I am 35 (will be 36 when this little bean is born) already mother to two beautiful children 15 and 12 (was so long ago - cant remember a thing!!)

I am seven weeks pregnant (Due July 20th) and hoping that this pregnancy lasts the distance - i have had two very early miscarriages in the past couple of years but have had a scan already and the sonographer saw a heartbeat etc so this time everything is looking good!!!!

I am a type one diabetic and use insulin to control my diabetes (which is a pain when youre not pregnant let alone when you are!!)

Would love to hear from everyone how their pregnancies are going - its so difficult not being able to tell the world!!!!

Happpy and Healthy Pregnancies to you all!!

xx

Welcome :) I am 35 also exhausted, but not diabetic. I have a 11 year old and 12 year old! I will be honest, this pregnancy has been very hard on me. I was diagnosed with tachycardia a few months ago (pregnancy induced) and it makes things ever harder it seems! I want to say good luck and happy healthy pregnancy to you!

Hi! I'm 10 weeks pregnant with twins. Last week I was diagnosed with GD and put on insulin twice a day. I'm still trying to figure out what I can and can't eat. I've been surprisingly not as tired as I was in my first pregnancy (I'm thinking being on the B complex may be helping with that).

Hi Dayce! Like you I'm type 1 diabetic and very exhausted. My third pregnancy as well and this one has made me the most exhausted for sure. I also find my blood sugars going really low this time as well. Makes me even more tired. But I'm almost 44, have an 18 month old who is still nursing and a teenage son with Autism. Some days I think my diabetes is the easy part.lol But I know what you mean. Being older and pregnant is a challenge in itself. Adding the diabetes, the frequent appointments and tests and possibilities of more complications make it super hard.

It is so draining!

Amjon - good luck with your twins - am sure you will be well looked after with the GD it is difficult to work out what to eat and when. Just follow what your Dr says and check sites like diabetes uk.

Kcmichelle you certainly have your hands full - i don't know how you do it!!

Xx
