Hi.I am so pleased I have found this site!I have never used a forum like this before so its all new to me.I am 38 ( almost 39) and have two Children already..a Son who us 15 and a Daughter who is 10 with my ex husband.I am with a wonderful guy now and we would love a child together.I came off the pill last month so just seeing what happens...hard not to think everything is a sign of pregnancy though ha.

I have a nearly 3 year old daughter....I was 38 when I had her. I am now 41 and been trying for next one on and off for nearly a year. Feeling hopeful I will get lucky soon.....fell pregnant first time with daughter so bit frustrated ha ha

When is your next cycle? I have been a bit unsure of my cycle from coming off the pill so wasn't entirely sure when I ovulated but I am going to do a test in about a week . 👍

Aw thanks.I have noticed that more and more women have babies later on and it's more common now.My Sister had her second at 40 and really enjoyed her pregnancy.I know a lot has changed since I had my Daughter 10 years ago but exciting all the same. We have kept it quiet from our families so it will be a massive surprise when and if it happens .
Did you have to have a lot of tests when you pregnant with your Daughter? My Doctor was explaining they do a test now much earlier than an amnio but carries same risk..I have learnt loads in this site in just a day...it's fab!
I just hate this TWW bit haha

No no more tests than anyone younger....I had no risk factors to consider I guess. I have the usual 12 week scan and triple test for Downs etc ..came back as 1:2500 which was good enough for me. no amino typically offered routinely unless you have a score of 1:200 or less (may vary between regions in UK). Are you from UK?

There is a test which is currently just available privately called the Harmony test I think.....It's a 100% accurate blood test, non invasive and no harm to baby therefore but very expensive. I think my friend may be eligible on bus but purely cos she had a loss through hunters syndrome year

Anyhow.....40+ is the new 20 ha ha. Good luck to us all x

I'm 40 and have a 2.5 yr old Daughter. TTC #2 but cycles have suddenly lengthened and I can't even tell if I've OV some cycles, just waiting for appt now to see a specialist to see what's up or if I need a little help. So much more to consider this time around eventhough is only been 3 years :-S

Alibiz....how long you been trying? I had some general hormone blood tests done last year but they showed normal. haven't really been back....not sure there's much else they can do... Apart from Clomid which gp seemed keen to avoid due to possibility of multiple birth eeeep

6 months, my concern atm is that cycle suddenly went from 31 days to 41 and bbt all over the place.... Just need some answers...it was so easy with DD....

Nearly a year here I have had blood tests...nothing unusual. Hubby says he will get tested next....we tried March-July last year then took a break for a few months with my new job then this is second month ttc.

I am trying some acupuncture since January so we'll see how that goes for us.

I am 40 and on cycle #6 of TTC for my 3rd. My oldest is 15 and my youngest is 20 months...both times didn't take long to conceive. Hoping just bc I turned 40- that things aren't working in our favor as quickly.

If it is meant to be right?

Hi, I am with you. 38 and TTC #3 with my soul mate. This will be his first child. Currently in the TWW on cycle 3. Believe I had a chemical my 1st cycle and my 2nd cycle I am not sure if I ovulated due to my body resetting from the chemical. This cycle I am sure I ovulated and am currently 3 DPO. Just want to give some hope to the page.

I am 42 with 3 grown up kids.. 24-21-15 and im 10+1 weeks I have a happy healthy dancing baby growing (wouldnt stop moving on scan a few days ago) Naturally conceived.

Good luck! I am trying for number four (although this cycle is my last attempt for three months due to potential due dates clashing with end of year plans lol - and two other kids birthdays! I have three with 2.5 years between them. I'm both nervous and excited about having a fourth as I know it will be my last - im 38. I have had crazy cycles since Christmas - we are talking 35 days to ovulate and this cycle is their first I started tracking properly with temps and ops.

Good luck! Yeah it doesn't matter when I conceive because it will always coincide with other dates. For example, if I conceived this cycle my due date will be my birthday. That would be my favorite gift ever.
