4 cm dilated - how long do I have to wait?

My Dr. checked me today and I'm 4 cm dilated. She said she could feel the baby's head, ewww I feel like it's still going to take forever though! Is there anyone who has sat at 4 cm for a long time?

At 4cm they took me down to delivery! I wouldn't have thought you'd have long to wait - get bouncing and walking- good luck love xx

4 days before my daughter was due, I saw my Dr for a regular exam. To my surprise, I was already at a 4. He said he would see me later that night or in the morning. Well I went into labor around 6am, left for the hospital around 12 something and had my daughter 2 hours later. She was my first baby too and it went pretty fast. But everyone is different. Thanks I really hope so. For the last few weeks I would have crazy bh at night, and now, nothing. I just can't wait to finally have him in my arms. Only a baby could make a woman wish for such pain to come lol!

I really hope your baby comes soon, but another mom I know was walking around for a week or so at 4cm just two months ago (her third baby). Everyone is different, but maybe you can jump start something soon. Good luck!

I was 4 cm and 100% effaced with baby one station away from being fully engaged for 1.5 weeks before I went into labor. :/
