Best of luck Frisbee, I have my fingers crossed for you! :D

Babyteach – sorry you didn’t ovulate hun :hugs:. But your comment about us getting AF’s as we ovulate, it’s funny you should say that as the month I had my progesterone tests and didn’t ovulate I had a normal cycle, AF came around the same time as it usually does. Though I know of people who have ridiculously long cycles as they don’t ovulate, I assume it must affect everyone differently . It’s great your DH is being so supportive.

Sorry AF got you sunshine :hugs:. And how crap, no IUI this next cycle, so annoying :growlmad:.

Lubuto, your symptoms are sounding good hun . No I haven’t noticed being extra veiny on the clomid, I am a very veiny person anyway though!

Lilyfire – how much mucinex were you taking? I take it this is the same kind of stuff as Robitussin?

Good luck Frisbee! Have you decided when you’re testing yet? Love your comment about :witch: attacking :grr: but it is so true!!

x

Sounds like those are all good things!! :)

Sounds promising, fx'd for you!!

Scooby so sorry to hear it was definitely an MC hun. Sending you lots of :hugs: x

Hi guys, was wondering if you guys have a lot of side effects on Clomid. I am thinking of switching to Femara this cycle.

Not really sunshine, just higher post ovulation temps, a few moodswings & then cramping a few days after ovulation, but that's about it x

I was moody, had night sweats, and was very dry down there. Maybe I'm better off switching but since I do ovulate on Clomid, I'm not sure if I should.

When do you take your clomid hun? I heard it was best to take it last thing at night to avoid the sweats (not sure how - maybe it takes a while to work so taking it through the day makes it worse at night .) I've had no problem with hot flashes so it seems to have worked for me taking it at night x

Funny, I took it in the afternoon the first time and didn't get nightsweats, just moodiness....lots of it. last time around, I took it at night and had night sweats every night. Do I need that to know it's working? :growlmad:

Lol I don't think so as I didn't get them & it definitely made me ovulate! Maybe you're just an unlucky one & it affects you differently? You could always go back to taking it in the afternoon? x

Mrs: I did not realize you can not ovualte and still get a period! I wish that was my case so I did not have to take the prometriem again, I picked it up today $80!! My husbands insurance is not nearly as good as mine was (I paid like $11 last time) ugh. It pushes me out two weeks before I even get AF!

About the night sweats my first cycle I had a few days of hot flashes and night sweats a week after I finished clomid, but this time on the higher dose, which I ended 2 1/2 weeks ago, I have been and still am getting night sweats for over a week! They're horrible but if it finally makes my ovualte someday than they're worth it!

Anyone had any luck with adding metformin?? I am starting my prometriem tonight and metformin (which I will continue to take the entire cylce). Or heard any side effects, my sister took it and she said it made her really sick so I am kinda scared. Oh and here's a story to make you laugh, when the pharmicist was explaining how to take the metfomin to me I started to cry!! Yes in the middle of the store!! I felt so dumb, she felt bad and told me the drug can really work wonders and has helped a lot of ppl, but I felt like such a loser but I could not control it at all :(.

And my doc told me to take clomid in the morning, not sure why but that is what she said so I do :)

Aw babyteach, you poor thing, ttc can be so hard sometimes, things can really get on top of you. Don't feel embarrassed though hun :hugs:. I don't really know anything about metamorphin hun, I've literally just heard it mentioned here & there. Yes you can definitely not ovulate & still get AF, it was only a day late for me. If you have a look at the chart gallery on FF there are a few anovulatory charts & they've not had to take anything to get AF to come though it does tend to be late x

Baby are you diabetic?

So I decided on femara since insemination lands on Thanksgiving this year and so we may not be doing IUI this cycle. I'll need all the CM I can get.

sunshine: Glad you can at least do ferama this cycle so you still have some help!! What is IUI and why were you going to do it this cylce? Has clomid failed before?

I am not diabetic, my glucose levels are a bit high. I went in for a insulin test this summer, I had to fast overnight and into the morning and then they tested my blood and insulin levels and they tested okay. Then I had to drink a strong sugar drink and wait 2 hrs and test my glucose level (or how my body breaks glucose down). It was not too high the norm is 140 and I was 150 (whatever that means) but a little above normal. I guess it's common for ppl with PCOS and taking the medicine can level out my glucose levels and help ovulation. So I will take it during my entire cycle and do 100mg of clomid days 5-9 again. Maybe the two together will actually make to ovualte this time?!?!

Thanks! I wonder if I take the prometrium I won't get AF till it is over, or if I take it I could still get it on my own while taking the pills?

I do have to say thanks so much for your support it is so nice having ppl who understand!!

Hi guys, was wondering if you guys have a lot of side effects on Clomid. I am thinking of switching to Femara this cycle.

I'm not sure what's a side effect of Clomid or just increased side effects of Ovulation... My first cycle on it I had almost no side effects during the pre-O, but a few during luteal phase. This second cycle I have had much more during luteal, but weird- cramping in ways that AF doesn't, hurting ab muscles (like I did a heavy ab workout), emotional/teary, and BBs have been sore (not bigger or fuller or darker or anything) since about 10DPO.

Still haven't received AF but still have a BFN. If I don't get a super late BFP, then THAT is a symptom of clomid too, because I should have gotten AF around CD25...

That's my input!

Good luck with the Femera!

depends on what you consider failing. I ovulated on both cycles but no bfp.

IUI is intrauteral insemination so they would inseminate me with DH's sperm. He has a slightly lower motility so this may help get them in there, bypassing the cervix.

I hope the ferama works this cycle and you won't have to to the IUI (I imagine it's expensive) I will be thinking about you and hope for a BFP :winkwink:

Why did you switch to ferama?
