Thanks for all the sharing of clomid side effects. I wanted to share mine, the only thing I really noticed is hot flashes and a lot of night sweats! I don't notice any moodiness but had a little ovary pain. And I still have a good amount of CM. But I did not actually ovualte on my first two rounds so maybe I have not had the full effects?!?! Now I have been taking metformin for a week and that gives me an upset stomach but hopefully it will go away as my body gets used to it. I really hope metformin is my ticket with the clomid since my first two rounds of clomid alone were a bust .

Hi ladies,
Well, took my 2nd pill today. All is pretty good so far. Have had a headache off and on since my 1st pill yesterday, but it is tolerable. Today I def feel a little lightheaded, but again, no big deal. Also, I had a little nosebleed...hmmm...I am wondering if that is from the Clomid, or because the air is so dry and we have the heat on a lot? Oh, and I am having some cramping near the ovaries and some lower back pain, but minor.

Anyone ever have a nosebleed from Clomid?

Also, when should I start taking Mucinex? After the Clomid is done?

I've never had a nosebleed from Clomid. This time around (I'm on day 2 at 100mg) so far all I've got is night sweats... better than day sweats though!

I'm not sure when they say you are supposed to start the Mucinex. I just start it and the EPO after I'm done with the Clomid...

So the metformin does not give me too bad of stomachaces anymore but now I have really bad bloating from it. Making my clothes tight, ugh! Anyone know when the bloating should go down? I am taking 1500mg, 1 with breakfest and 2 with dinner. I sure hope it goes down... I look pregnant, wish this was the case

Since you are going to get this cycle, the bloating won't go down for another 9 months!

Hi everyone, how are you all doing?

Wendy - though Clomid hasn't given me nosebleeds, it has dried me up, and not just my CM. My contact lenses have been bothering me when I was taking it. I happened to google "Clomid dry up..." and eyes came up! So if it can dry your mucus and your eyes up then I'm sure it can your nose, therefore causing bleeds!

So I'm just waiting to ovulate . I ovulated CD18 last month on the clomid which is early for me, but I suspect with my signs it might happen sooner again! x

Yup, I'm waiting to O as well. I'm at CD9, took my Clomid 100mg CD 4-8. I should O around CD 13, but we'll see. I have a doc appt on CD13 (which is why I decided to do the clomid 4-8) so I'm hoping it is perfect timing to see pretty follicles! I'm charting temps, and have some OPKs and a ferning microscope as well. The temps alone is difficult because I just finished shift work so my sleep hours are all screwy. that PLUS the night sweats have me tossing and turning a bit. My ovaries feel bloated- thats a good thing...
I WAS going to use the OvaCue FM, but that still hasn't come in the mail yet. And next month I will already be preggo so I might as well return it! ;-P (wishful thinking! lol)



Just waiting! I'm not planning on being obsessive over this month's 2WW. DH and I should be preoccupied exploring Dublin's pubs and history! I won't be getting pissed but I can enjoy the people and fun.

Oh one last thing- I think DH is sick of me being hormonal- he's actually making efforts to get that BFP too. He went and bought a Multivitamin for guys that has folic acid, vit C, etc in it. I'm so proud of him! This is a guy that never takes meds unless he's had major surgery. I'm proud of him, even if it's because he's sick of my mood swings! hehehe

Aw Happy Birthday Marialex & yay for the +OPK! It was so late on Friday I think ovulation is today for me though it might have been yesterday, gonna tonight just in case! GL to you! x

Yay for positive OPKs!! FX for both of you!!

I'm not temping or using opk's this cycle since we're taking a break until January, but I'm pretty sure I ovulated either yesterday or the day before judging by CM and what I believe were ovulation pains. If so, that means I ovulated on CD15 or 16, which is pretty dang good for me! FX for short cycles so I can get back on clomid in early January.

So waiting for AF?!?! I am three days after taking my last prometrium pill to induce AF and she is still not here?!?! Every other time I have taken prometrium, it has came three days after the last pill. I never thought I would say AF get here now!! Anyone ever taken progesterone to induce AF, if so how many days after the last pill did you get AF? I took two pills for ten days.

I sure hope this is all our cycles ladies and we end up being the luckest thread on here!!!!

babyteach if you know for a fact that you arent pregnant and you just want AF to come try an herbal tea of Parsley, I would boil water and then put some dried parsley into a strainer then poured the hot water over it (into a cup) it didnt taste awful and after about 2 to 3 cups a day I had AF in about 2 days :thumbsup:

We're still BDing, just being careful. I would love to TTC again right away, but I've just been offered short term disability coverage at work which will cover maternity leave at 60% of my weekly pay, but I can't conceive before January 1st or it will be considered a pre-existing condition. It's pretty annoying, but it will be worth it to not have to worry about money while on leave...assuming I actually conceive and get a sticky one!

Well I took a pregnancy test on Thursday and it was negative but maybe I should take another... I will have to try the parsley tea tomorrow if I don't get AF b/c I really want her to come so I can start clomid again!! Thanks!!

I need ladies who understand! Today has been the worst day yet... It has been 4 days since I ended prometrium to induce AF and she is no where in sight. I called my OB-GYN and she said since my body is not reacting to clomid the way it should she wants to send me to a fertility specialist!! I never thought we would get to this point. My husbands insurance does not cover infertility and I am soooo scared on how expensive everything will be. I do not know what to even expect; will they go right to IVF (which I heard is super expensive?!?!) or are there other things they will try?? Any advice or input would be great, I am waiting for my husband to come home to break the news to him . Thanks ladies, I appreciate it!

Whats the issue? did they say that its unexplained infertility? if its a hormonal thing then try some herbal things if you want to first because that would be much cheaper than a fertility specialist.. I took Vitex and Ive been pregnant twice while taking it. When I wasnt taking it we were trying for about a year with no results.. but I was diagnosed with poly cystic ovaries (not pcos though) I hope you find what works for you!!

I have PCOS with the only symptom being no ovulation even with two rounds of clomid, ovulation still has not happened. I am currently on metformin and took the prometrium for 10 days and I usually get a period but this time it seemed to not have worked. My ob-gyn says she does not know why things are not working and wants me to see a specialist to figure things out. I am so nervous about the cost! I honestly never ever thought I would get to this point .
